The butt-hurt quotient on these boreds is palpable to the point that I can taste it in the air.
Turning down high paying jobs and blaming others for your financial situation will do that to you.
My only problem has been runaway plandemic inflation and open borders malaise. I'm looking forward to things getting much better . Makes the odor of butt-hurt you all are giving off actually smell kind of sweet, actually.
who exactly planned it, clown?

What I take from this post:

1)-Apparently Mexicans are jumping into the psychology racket.
2)- Psych enjoys butt smells.

Weird.
You’re killing it, Jeeper! Everyone sees how clever and successful and Alpha you are! Wow! Way to go!

It is so profoundly fucked that all of these cynical grifters are going to hand over control of the Department of Defense to a person that none of them would trust to be their son or daughter’s scout leader.

Meanwhile, I’m sure the peaceniks who (wittingly or otherwise) have made common cause with the right will be thrilled about Hegseth’s maniacal focus on DOD being about the fighting of wars.

#1 on that list of ultra important things: "Discouraging the use of 'Mom and Dad' at the US Air Force Academy". When #1 on your list is a completely unimportant nonsense talking point, you should know you're wasting taxpayer dollars.

Meanwhile, every female air force academy cadet expects that they will be sexually assaulted at some point in their time there on campus.

It is true that we can expect there to be a recruiting bump attributable to the broification of the DoD. It is also true that we can expect there to be a recruiting dip attributable to the broification of the DoD.

I suspect people's opinions will be split, say, 49.9% to 48.4%, on whether this is a good or bad thing for the country.

I was very disappointed and couldn't believe it when Hillary chose Tim Kaine for her running mate in 2016. But he acquits himself well here:

What a fucking joke Trump has nominated for SOD. Of course, all Trump is doing is coming up with someone who can get confirmed, and then carry out his fascist agenda. Look at the number of times this pretender has been drunk, during the day and at work, and after work, and had to be helped home. This is an insult to everyone who has worn the uniform.

Former sexual assault victim and combat veteran Iowa Senator Joni Ernst falls in line, just like an obedient cult member, and says she'll vote for Hegseth.

Good cult member Joni! You must be so proud to vote for someone who wouldn't meet with numerous Democratic senators before the hearing, has been accused of numerous instances of public drunkenness and inappropriate behavior, including sexual improprieties with one of his coworkers, but "settled" and made his problems with her go away POOF! , via a nondisclosure agreement with the victim.

Is this your idea of "defending the constitution" Senator Ernst? How will you feel watching this obviously flawed man take the oath of office? Or, doesn't that oath mean much to you, anymore? Apparently, not. What if Russia or China, et al, have additional incriminating information about Hegseth's past behavior that hasn't come out? Does anyone think they won't try to leverage it at some point? Why would you help put our nation in this potential situation? What are you thinking?

Trivia Question:Who else is famous for their NDAs?

Answer: Why, it's the head of the cult, convicted felon, Donald Trump.

We so proud!

At this point I don't really give a shit about the cabinet members, most of them don't do anything for me.

Let's talk about tax cuts, I was promised some muthafuckin tax cuts!

Long Term Capital Gains: untaxed up to $94,000

I don't know about you, but that seems a bit arbitrary, and not very high for a single year's ill gotten gains. I like round numbers. Can we agree that the first $250,000 should be untaxed? It seems fair for me.

Long Term Gains: 15% taxed from $94,000 to %583,000

While I think it should go up a bit, jumping straight to 15% seems high and wtf $583,000? Let's just round that tax rate down to 10%, and set the upper bound at $600,000.

Long Term Gains: 20% taxed over $583,000

I worked hard for this muthafuckin money, goddamn it! This is just robbery. I would gladly agree to 15% on my ill gotten gains above the newly rounded up $600,000 limit per year.

I'm a job creator. I will be reinvesting this money in employees that will benefit me. I will be hiring a full time person to pull the goatheads from my backyard soon, and a part time housekeeper*. These tax savings will pay for these new hires and leave me with a little walkin around/weed money to boot.

Thank you for your debt service trump voters who make less than $400k/year. Your generosity will not be forgotten. Beers on me when you stop by the Empire.

* I am currently accepting resumes for these two jobs, if anyone needs another extra job to pay for eggs. Pay commensurate with experience and expertise. You can send resumes directly to me via pm.

Dood, you're close, but it's not the first $94,000 of capital gains that's not taxed, capital gains aren't taxed until your income rises above $94,050, for married filing jointly, (and only $47,025 for those of us who would rather be happy...) So, good luck with that.

(BTW, unblock me so I can submit a resume before all the positions are filled!)

From IRS. gov

Capital gains tax rates

Net capital gains are taxed at different rates depending on overall taxable income, although some or all net capital gain may be taxed at 0%. For taxable years beginning in 2024, the tax rate on most net capital gain is no higher than 15% for most individuals.
A capital gains rate of 0% applies if your taxable income is less than or equal to:

$47,025 for single and married filing separately;
$94,050 for married filing jointly and qualifying surviving spouse; and
$63,000 for head of household.

A capital gains rate of 15% applies if your taxable income is:

more than $47,025 but less than or equal to $518,900 for single;
more than $47,025 but less than or equal to $291,850 for married filing separately;
more than $94,050 but less than or equal to $583,750 for married filing jointly and qualifying surviving spouse; and
more than $63,000 but less than or equal to $551,350 for head of household.

However, a capital gains rate of 20% applies to the extent that your taxable income exceeds the thresholds set for the 15% capital gain rate.

There are a few other exceptions where capital gains may be taxed at rates greater than 20%:

The taxable part of a gain from selling section 1202 qualified small business stock is taxed at a maximum 28% rate.
Net capital gains from selling collectibles (such as coins or art) are taxed at a maximum 28% rate.
The portion of any unrecaptured section 1250 gain from selling section 1250 real property is taxed at a maximum 25% rate.

Note: Net short-term capital gains are subject to taxation as ordinary income at graduated tax rates...
