Sorry for the late reply-but according to the roster info, Chet Holmgren is 7' 195lb.
I agree. His hire was a PR move. He has no idea what he's doing.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 8:31 am The national media loved that hire because of James Wiseman. I always felt it was a disaster waiting to happen.
He brings in Larry Brown, which I don't think is a bad idea--he clearly needs a bench guy. But, he does it way too late as it should have been the day he was hired, and LB at this point is better for a consultant role. I'd only trust LB to give his all under Self or Cal.Cascadia wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 8:38 amI agree. His hire was a PR move. Forrest has a really nice resume as a "bench guy".CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 8:42 amHe brings in Larry Brown, which I don't think is a bad idea--he clearly needs a bench guy. I love LB, but he needs to be put out to pasture at this point.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 8:42 amHe brings in Larry Brown, which I don't think is a bad idea--he clearly needs a bench guy. I sort of think it's strange he wants to keep working in a role like that at this point in his career/life.Cascadia wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 8:58 amI love LB, but he needs to be put out to pasture at this point.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 8:42 amHe brings in Larry Brown, which I don't think is a bad idea--he clearly needs a bench guy. Yes. Seems Penny agreed with you that he needed an experienced and successful bench guy. Thus both Forrest and L.B. are on his staff this season. Of course they (Memphis Basketball) have legitimate excuses but so far - you and I might as well be their bench guys.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 8:56 amAlso his first season at memphis?RainbowsandUnicorns wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 8:51 amForrest has a really nice resume as a "bench guy".CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 8:42 am

Dude has basically said he wants to die coaching. Heck, he was considering coaching HS basketball recently. I don't understand why he wouldn't prefer to be a network analyst but hey, being at Memphis, he gets to see "co-eds" every day - so that probably makes him very happy.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 9:03 amI sort of think it's strange he wants to keep working in a role like that at this point in his career/life.Cascadia wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 8:58 amI love LB, but he needs to be put out to pasture at this point.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 8:42 am
