Again, violence at or during a protest does not guarantee that the violence was perpetrated by those there in support of the protest.

No it doesn't guarantee it....but it isn't the pro-cop people burning police stations / vandalizing government buildings and throwing shit/shooting at cops/law enforcement.

I am able to make the distinction between protestors and rioters/looters fwiw, before we go down that road.

I know that you realize that there are both protestors as well as rioters/looters but it's damn near impossible to prove for certain who is what. Rhat's why it was so easy for Lobster's olk to so easily blow off the protests.

So often people have simply lumped everyone and everything at these protest all together in one easy to criticize group. Some of the problems have also been from outside agitators specifically looking to make the protests look bad. Other times it has been criminals simply looking to take advantage of the chaos to get away with crime. They aren't there as BLM supporters; they're just opportunists.

It's hard to prove who has what motives and most folks trying to make the cases that Lobster is trying to make prefer the easy case since it is the easiest to support amongst like-minded individuals.

Here is the difference: the left will pull out 30-years of peer reviewed experiments. The right will link to a youtube video from Alex Jones. And say the evidence is equal.
