I would be very disappointed if they weren’t interested in making money- after all they were/are Republicans!! I don’t think laundering reputations is a bug. It’s a feature. For me it’s not about the enemy-of-enemy phenomenon at all. While I disagreed with much of the Republican philosophy I never questioned their motives until after 2010 or so.

I think it’s time for a reboot, in the interest of a healthy democracy. Mitch, Trump and their brand of Republicanism needs to be burnt to the ground.

I think the problem is people just don't dream big any more. The Baby Boomers, they dreamt bigly and and achieved great things. Kids today, they are just happy to have a home to put their stuff in and food on their plates three times a day.

yeah, cuz when I look back on this year particularly - recalling the panic of shutting down cuz of Covid, the sheer body count, the cops killing people of color and subsequent race roits in the streets, the climate change and wildfires burning down the West, the civil and economic unrest throughout - the whole time I was thinking, man what we really need our elected leaders to address, is a moon colony.
