F the NCAA
Re: F the NCAA
I think we're on a 35 that is labeled as a 25 with a shit load of pot holes and a city commish and public works office that doesn't fix the roads and changes the fines for speeding tickets at random.
The autobahn is the NBA in this analogy.

Can’t wait for the day that KU can start buying underclassmen away from other big 12 schools. Might break that 14 year streak after all. Going to be so cool man!

I will say that I hate that LeBron is jumping on this bandwagon and the media, of course, eat it up and will soon crown him as the champion for n/i/l rights. He kind of ruins everything.

If KD = A-Rod...

The game that I grew up watching is gone. And it ain’t coming back. What they do with the game moving forward is of almost no concern.
It was collegiate athletics when I was growing up.

In other news, Duke is on the case:
Duke officials said outside investigators spent five months looking into attorney Michael Avenatti's claims that Nike funneled money to players, including former Blue Devils star Zion Williamson, to steer them toward college basketball programs it sponsored and found no evidence supporting his allegations.

In a statement to ESPN on Friday, Avenatti said the people conducting Duke's outside investigation never contacted him.Sparko wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2019 9:21 pmCash is so hard to trace. If it had only been BBQspdub wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2019 9:06 pm In other news, Duke is on the case:

"I never heard from anyone associated with Duke in connection with my allegations or any investigation," Avenatti said. "I was never asked a single question. I was never asked what information or documents that I was aware of. Who the hell conducted this investigation? Inspector Clouseau?
Lol

Coach K should quietly retire......quickly
"The documents and the hard evidence do not lie. Zion Williamson was paid to attend Duke. [Coach Mike Krzyzewski] has made and facilitated payments to players for years. And when the truth comes out -- and eventually it will -- Coach K and Duke's reputation will forever and rightfully be tarnished.
"And if what I'm saying is untrue, I challenge Coach K and Duke University to file a defamation lawsuit against me tomorrow and we can let the chips fall where they may."

And while I don’t doubt it, I also can’t help but wonder why such documents and info ended up in the hands of a porn star’s attention-starved lawyer.

Said lawyer was working for a big payday.

What happened to the extortion allegation that Nike made about Avenatti?

Re: F the NCAA
So the California State Assembly voted 73-0 to allow college athletes to be paid for NIL.
The Fair Pay For Play act prohibits the ncaa from punishing college athletes for profiting from endorsements.
The bill was already passed by the Senate 31-5, but some language was changed by the assembly, but the senate is expected to pass it again. After the senate passes it, the governor will have 30 days to veto or sign into law.
