They played defense well. They shot 20-67 and 16% from 3. Not like they played lights out.

I remember that Salucki game--neither team could get many uncontested looks. KU had 19 turn-overs, but shot well when they got a look.

Texas was over 20 turn-overs and was not ready for the shifting defenses. My guess is someone looked at Self's game plans against Scary Smart II.

Yep--it was that 61-58 nightmare that drained the legs out of the team.

I hated that game. They were great defensively.

Illinois might be in trouble. Loyola-Chicago would have been in at-large.

This game had the hallmarks of an upset going into the game. Small school playing the big brother from their own backyard, an experienced team, great defense, 101-year-old super fan, weird white guy leading the way, Illini will be lucky to pull this out.

Whenever a small school has a fat guy it's upset city baby.

Ovah. I'm getting set in my office pool. I have the #2 and #3 bracket, #1 for some reason has Rutgers, all the way down to 15 either have Zags or Illini (I have Zags and Iowa) and one has OU.
