Supposedly that option is not necessarily out of the realm of possibility.

Dream scenario is getting him back. I think he will be good enough to eat into hunters minutes just a tiny bit. Hunter is an offensive juggernaut, ok defensively. Udeh can be a defensive juggernaut even this coming season

Our team would be better if instead of 32+ minutes of hunter, we get 27/13ish minutes of hunter/udeh playing high energy basketball

And obviously foul trouble wouldn't be the same level of issue

Interesting article here about NIL and NBA draft https://www.cbssports.com/college-baske ... to-school/

Players have til May 31 to pull out of draft. June 1st things ought to start heating up again about transfers.

Sounds like maybe Ernest might have some trouble getting accepted to Duke (grades/credits). A return to KU might still be an option.

statie sounds like they’ll get the first post-dookie visit, then tcu

i’ve seen nothing to indicate returning to KU is even a legit option
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Bill Self said "don't sleep on Parker Braun". Said he is 6-10 and more athletic than Christian.

And yet little brother is in the NBA and Parker hasn't managed to do anything meaningful in 4 years of college? Hmmm

Bill generally pumps up his players in public. He's just saying Parker is better than his numbers would indicate. Time will tell, but if Self thinks he's athletic then he probably is. Whether that translates into being a good basketball player at KU remains to be seen. It also seems like an indication that we're not getting another big unless one falls in our lap.

there’s also the fact that Bill has already seen what Parker has done against D1 competition, vs the potential of someone like Pettiford (never mind the fact the Bobby was sidelined with injuries for much of his KU career)

Bill is building up his confidence. Right now we need for him to be better than his numbers indicate.

And honestly the dude isn't horrible. He's 24, been playing d1 ball for 4 seasons already. Has some size skill and athletic ability. Ill keep an open mind

Do we? He's the 3rd big on this team. He's going to be equivalent to what Zuby was last year. Hunter and KJ will play the 5 unless there's some major foul trouble, then Parker will come on in that case. Hunter averaged less than 2 fouls per game last year at almost 33 minutes per game. KJ averaged 3 fouls per game with 27 minutes per game.

There's a really good chance Parker doesn't get more than 5 minutes per game. Just don't shit the bed in those 5 minutes per game.

Whos the 2nd big? Cause Kj is the starting 4. Yes KJ will be the back up 5 too but that doesn't leave you much flexibility. How often in college basketball can you play a game without either the 4 or 5 getting into foul trouble.

We need him to be ready and be good. Or add another big

The 4 and 5 are always in foul trouble to some degree. Most the fouls get called in the paint around the rim. If the 4 or 5 fucks up on d they end up with fouls. But also when the 1 2 or 3 get beat on d, the 4 and 5 end up picking up fouls rotating over.

Unless we plan on planning mccullar extended minutes at the 4, or Marcus adams is ready to contribute good minutes. We need another big. Or we need braun to be better than "not shitting himself"
