Isn't the complaint about DEI that it doesn't result in the best, most qualified person getting the job? Isn't the fact that Trump's requirement for a Cabinet selection be that you are white and loyal to Trump, not that you're the most qualified, just more usage of DEI-like mindset? Absolutely NO ONE could possibly argue that his Cabinet picks are the most qualified persons.

Well obviously you no longer have a problem with it. It feels like being white is viewed as a positive, not a negative.

No not really. I don’t think they did any reflection at all!

Pubs just doubled down on the same kooky shit they won with in 16 and almost did again in 20, but now with how many felony convictions and other pending legal troubles to shrug off too.

Tho now they also had the challenger’s momentum, with the incumbent not only being in the big chair for inflation but also addressing the inflation with a messaging strategy along the lines of ACTUALLY THE ECONOMY’S DOING GREAT AND IF YOU DONT THINK SO YER STOOPID

I think dems lost it more than pubs won it

I think the single biggest difference for pubs 20 vs 24 was the headwind of Covid vs the tailwind of Bidenflation.

I’m tempted to also add other controversial issues with less priority than the economy, but keys not even bother
