The thing that would have me upset would have been if we ran off McDowell to keep Philon.

I'm glad that Philon was run off instead. I like McDowell, would love to see him at Kansas four or five years.

The number of teams with zero players in the portal is in single digits, and Kansas is one of them. That's awesome if it holds up.

I think what we'll see is more and more freshman wait until much later in the process to sign with a school. That'll be best for all parties involved.

Nothing out there from any official sources that I've seen so far, but I wonder if it makes it possible he comes to KU, but redshirts. If he can't transfer to KU then he probably can't transfer to a lot of the top options he was looking at. A redshirt might be good for us and him. Especially if we get Griffen.

Maybe. I have a dream where McDowell redshirts. Practice warrior who keeps improving and we get a 5 year program guy
