What a sack of shit.
And yet, it bothered you not a whit when the sitting V.P. and the top-ranking members of your party insisted on the record - repeatedly - that the leader of the free world was in his right mind and capable of doing his job with excellence all while knowing damn well that he was a vegetable, and continuing the charade until the first debate made it impossible to lie.

God knows the damage done over the past four years and who or what was in charge while it was happening.

Oh, the irony.
Ok, weird, but whatever it takes for you to be OK with Trump lying and pardoning the people who beat officers half to death and vandalized our nation's Capitol after you spent years bitching nonstop about all the violent antifa scum assaulting police and vandalizing cities in BLM protests.

Irony indeed.
it is odd...because for years i have been told that the J6 people were antifa, BLM and 3 letter agency actors.

so...now that they are pardoned is that not true...again? the twists and turns and turns and twists.

"More than 600 were charged with assaulting, resisting or obstructing police, including around 175 charged with using a weapon or causing serious injury to an officer."

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cjw4vjvlgxpo

Being against this seems like something that should be bipartisan, right? We haven't dissolved so far that we are OK with people who assaulted the officers on January 6th being fully pardoned as if it never happened, are we?

To call these people hostages and heros is beyond the agreements of our basic rules as a society. At least it should be. Sorry, but this is not OK. WTF are we doing here?

This things are not comparable even if what you said is true.
Of course what you said is maybe 5 percent true.
He certainly was not a vegetable as you put it even at the end of his four years.

But these people who stormed the capitol were breaking the law with intent to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power. Some of them damaged property. Some of them attacked police officers. And now they are a pardoned by the president they were rioting for. That is 100 percent true.

Own this.
Your president just pardoned rioters who stormed the capitol with intent to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power.

Also we aren’t going to do what you just tried to do here.
“Oh yea this shitty thing happened but if you/Democrats had blah blah blah”.
Do that on Elon’s site.

More than kinda.

These people were found guilty of gravely significant crimes (seditious conspiracy;* violence against law enforcement) by unanimous juries of their peers.

They were afforded their rights to appeal.

There is no new evidence that has come to light.

They are not even being pardoned because Trump has any particular affection for or relationship with any of them; they are being pardoned in service of the erasure of (1) Trump’s own complicity, and (more importantly, now) (2) the truth about the 2020 election.

* You can bet all of Hunter’s NIL bucks that this DOJ is gonna find a way to pin some Democrat with this charge, again as a means of making a mockery of one of the most serious charges that exist under our laws.

What does “own it” even mean? I don’t care enough to own it or disown it. I’m interested in what is happening now and will happen on the next four years.

Don’t deflect.

The thing that just happened now.

Admit those people stormed the capitol and broke the law with intent to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power. Some of them damaged property. Some of them attacked police officers. And now they are a pardoned by the president they were rioting for.

“I’m not here to talk about the past” = erasure.

Which at least makes some sense to try to do: the evidence overwhelmingly supports (and has many many many times supported in the eyes of judges and juries) the conclusion that the 2020 election was not stolen.

In that light, the only thing a fella can do is pretend that the things we saw and heard, never happened.

He also talked about the past in the previous post.

“I’m not here to talk about the past unless I’m talking about things the Democrats did.”

I'm not deflecting. I'm telling you I. Don't. Care.

At least, apparently, not as much as you do, and I'm not going to pretend like I do.

This is kind of generally how i'm leaning but it's more I just don't to moderate this today.
I'm sure he and randy feel very brazen and it's just not going to fly this week.

Just like with the vast majority of his "independent thoughts", it looks like he is taking his talking points on the topic directly from the GOP:

https://www.cnn.com/2025/01/21/politics ... index.html

"Senate Majority Leader John Thune, a Republican from South Dakota, sidestepped questions about the pardons, saying, “We’re looking at the future, not the past” when asked whether it was a mistake for Trump."

You can't just not address that.
Well, you can, but it's at the least irresponsible and at worst vile.

And of course, in the case of any corrupt pardon (granted by a president or governor of any party), the timing of the corrupt pardon is instructive as to whether what you’re seeing is the quid or the quo.

Ordinarily, I would say that differing opinions are healthy.
Psych is well beyond that.
