Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground

Covid poses almost zero threat to children. The flu kills more every season than covid19 has since the beginning. They don't need masks. If you want to be a good parent teach them its ok to be normal. Dont terrify them with stats from puff piece articles youve read and unnecessary mandates. The world is not endingsdoyel wrote: ↑Mon Aug 23, 2021 11:13 pm Plano ISD held an emergency School Board meeting. They quickly got to the point: Temporary Mask Mandate begins Thursday. Why now? Why not the first day of school? Oh well, at least it’s happening…
I’ll go to sleep tonight praying my 5yo didn’t catch Covid from his classmate… Tomorrow I’ll send him right back into the Covid crossfire and play the game of chess because I desperately want my son to have some kind of normalcy. Of course, I (and others wouldn’t have to do this) if it weren’t for you brain dead pieces of shit who are too scared to get a damn shot.
Fuck all of you “because I don’t want to”, “it’s my freedom”, “own the libs!” morons.
Randy, do you have a fucking kid? Ah forget it. You wouldn’t get it anyway.
Try being a parent to young kids right now…
Because apparently health insurance is now a right?
The covid situation today still stems from dem hysteria. It wouldn't have been blow out of proportion to this extent if not for the election. The dems used covid and used it well as a tool to the white house. Covid is a lose lose situation for a politician and they used it to get Trump out of the white house. Unfortunately now biden has to deliver on impossible promises he made thoBasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Aug 24, 2021 10:12 amOnly republicans do hysteria bro.
Just forget the last 4 years of never-ending dem hysteria. Those don't count.

Remember when Dems kept telling us the covid vaccine wouldn't even be ready until this summer or fall? And yet we had it ready to go about 9 months ago....if Trump were still in office i think it is reasonable to assume (yes assume brocoach) that the Dems would have been vocally skeptical of the vaccine and how quickly it got pushed out.randylahey wrote: ↑Tue Aug 24, 2021 11:02 amThe covid situation today still stems from dem hysteria. You must have Merica confused with *checks notes* pretty much every other developed country.
Outside of randy, there's not a poster in this thread making it more political than you are.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Aug 24, 2021 11:10 amThe fact that even this is political shows how fucked our country is.

The vaccines were approved in December when Trump was still in office.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Aug 24, 2021 11:10 amRemember when Dems kept telling us the covid vaccine wouldn't even be ready until this summer or fall? Just really makes you wonder how different this entire thing goes if 1) the election went the other or 2) if it was kids getting sickest at the beginning rather than adults.
The fact that even this is political shows how fucked our country is.
I hope you're right, but i guess we will never know (thankfully).PhDhawk wrote: ↑Tue Aug 24, 2021 11:32 am I don't think opinions would flip flop. The narrative would've continued as it was, Trump's not doing enough, Trump's not taking it seriously, Trump's not acting quickly enough. The two parties wouldn't just flip their trust in science because administrations changed.

If politics were removed from all this >85% of Americans would be vaccinated. The numbers would be a lot lower. We'd be wearing masks in places where it was needed. There would be no anti-vax rallies, and protests, and all that garbage.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Tue Aug 24, 2021 11:32 amGold.randylahey wrote: ↑Tue Aug 24, 2021 11:26 am Im trying to bring things back to reality and remove politics from it.
