Yep.
Give me the Guinness over there for breakfast.
In some places, they serve Guinness at three temps - Guinness ( room temp ), Guinness cold ( like you got it out of the fridge and left it on the counter for 20 minutes ), Guinness extra cold ( fridge ).

I know it’s too late but I’d have skipped Venice for Florence or swapped the amount of days in Venice for Rome.
One night in Rome is not enough.
But that sounds magical.
Turn off the phone and walk around in Venice and try and make your way back home. It ain’t easy especially after a few drinks.

Best pizza in Como - Cafe Riva, around the corner from the main piazza. Also check out Degustaria. It’s a restaurant specializing in black truffles. In the same street/alley is a family run place called Osteria Gallo. You’ll need to reserve but a couple of days notice is sufficient.
Bellagio is overrated although worth stopping for a few minutes on the way to Varenna. I recommend the latter highly. The funicular up to Brunate is cool

I love challenging myself on things like this, when traveling. On my first trip abroad (a work trip to Germany), I decided to figure out how to take public transit from the airport to the town I needed to get to for work, rather than a taxi or car service. I could not speak or read any German.
I successfully made my way to the train at the airport, and then to the station in the destination town.
What I had NOT planned for was the town's streets being entirely cobblestone and rough brick, and to have a 2 km walk from the train station to the hotel (with a roller bag) on said streets.

I am doing one full day in Florence, but the plan is to go back someday and do a Rome/Florence specific trip.

I'm sure there's selection bias here*, but I haven't met a single person who's been to Florence and is not almost-weirdly-adamant that Florence be at the top of the Italy trip list.
* At least when I was at KU, KU had a really popular Florence program, and a lot of my friends did it. It's quite possible that I am disproportionately influenced by these people and their experiences.

Oh no, you're not. One of my best friend spent a semester there and has been bitching at me for over a year that I need to spend more time in Florence on this trip.
But, this isn't a solo trip, so I made compromises.

For something earthly try Bezos BBQ, or there's Elons Eons of Flavor for a variety of historical space cuisine.

You’re welcome! A trip report is in order when you return
I almost forgot. Any gelateria is great but in Como check out Gelataria Guidi, also just off the main piazza (Piazza Cavour). The one facing the lake is good but is crowded always. Guidi is less crowded and actually better gelato.
Just remember - in Italy it’s easy to determine which restaurants have better food. The quality of the food is inversely proportional to the number of languages on the menu. Just greet everyone with buon giorno/buono serra and they will treat you great
