Well, that’s the thing! For all we know, it still really could be that he was just randomly sitting in his car - which is to say, we (the public and his fam) still don’t know shit.

I was asking rhetorically, cuz only showing a 20 second snippet that starts with cops already shooting, does nothing to disclose why cops started shooting in the first place.

If they had any justifiable reason to shoot, that would be a critical piece of info. We at least have been told his hands were on the steering wheel - so did they mistake the steering wheel for a gun?

And if they didn't have a justifiable reason to shoot then releasing the video to the public at this point isn't helpful either.

What is important is that IF the cop wasn't justified then he/she needs to be held accountable.

But I do think they and we deserve to know why yet another unarmed person of color was killed as the result of state-sponsored violence. If that violence wasn’t justified, I think the family and Merica deserves justice.

I do too. But that isn't done on CNN. It is done/decided during a trial in a court of law.

It has only been like a week right? Determining which charges to bring is important and takes time i would imagine (in something high profile like this).

You're not asking for accountability or allowing time for accountability to take place.

How long ago did George Floyd die? His killer was sentenced last week. These things take time.
