When fraud is a corporate policy that is rewarded, it would be wise to steer clear of them.Mjl wrote: ↑Tue Dec 20, 2022 1:51 pmTell that to your neighbor who heavily invested in themtwocoach wrote: ↑Tue Dec 20, 2022 10:49 am https://www.reuters.com/business/financ ... 022-12-20/
Wells Fargo has got to be one of the most fraudulent corporations I have experienced in the banking industry.

He seems to share my sentiment. Berkshire Hathaway washed their hands of Wells Fargo in '22 Q1

Re: Evil Rich People
love the comment: the most absurd part is that there are two richer cats out there
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
Re: Evil Rich People
Yeah, but what about a rising tide lifts all boats?
I only came to kick some ass...
Rock the fucking house and kick some ass.

It’s yet another double down on Reaganomics.
At this point I dunno why anyone would.
But go figure how many folks are still content to sit around and obediently expect the wealth to trickle down.

Re: Evil Rich People
That's not what is happening here (on KCrim). Most of us are out there increasing our wealth through hard work and smart investments.
Others have decided whining on a messageboard is the most effective and efficient way to increase their wealth and better their situation.
I know which strategy I would choose.
Re: Evil Rich People
i don't personally know anyone that is sitting on their hands waiting for someone else to do it for them.
i don't surround myself with those sorts.

Is there anything to be said for those who want to “increase wealth” not just for themselves, but for every human, and some greater good?BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Mon Jan 16, 2023 12:49 pmThat's not what is happening here (on KCrim). Qusdahl alert!
Have a good holiday you guys.

Yes, but first you have to learn/know how to increase your wealth. That's not simple and usually includes some trials and error and perseverance. Then you can bring others along with you, show them the way and help do the same. Walking down the street with torches and pitchforks ain't gonna do it. No one is just gonna give it to you cuz you want it, deserve it, it's your birthright as a human.
You know the drill, it has been repeated often. Stop talking and start doing.

Actually, pretty sure everything from civil rights to women’s rights to voting rights to any sort of any progressive change came, and comes, from something closer to “torches and pitchforks” than from simply trying to increase one’s own wealth.
Bear in mind, there really are some folks out there in the world who care about bigger things than feathering their own nest.
In fact, today is a day to celebrate precisely one of those sorts of folks!
And based on the dialogue in the conspiracy thread this weekend, it kinda makes me wonder if we’ll get some sorta token performative “BLM Day” as a holiday like 20 years from now.

Re: Evil Rich People
You're moving the goalpost from redistribution of wealth/taking of personal property; to equality of human rights. Apples are red and oranges are orange if that helps.

And speaking of redistribution of wealth, bear in mind it’s overwhelmingly less about taking it from evil rich people, and more about preventing evil rich people from taking the wealth from the workers who have created it all along.
You don’t think Bezos personally packs all those Amazon boxes himself, didja?
