I agree. Brings the KU/Mizzou rivalry back, plus Mizzou already has a semi-rivalry with Illinois, at least in basketball, plus the B1G would pick up the St. Louis and KC markets.
As you suggested, I can't imagine that mizzou is as happy with the OU/UT additions that some of the other SEC schools are.
Then why didn’t they vote No?

Re-read my post. Also, voting No does nothing for Mizzou. Just like it would have done nothing for A&M who was pissed about the UT news.

Mike Vernon on 610: I dismissed the KU to B1G rumors as message board fodder but I am starting to hear it from people I trust that KU to the B1G could become imminent. There is smoke to this. Maybe some news in the next couple of weeks--end of next week.

People I talk to kind of smirk like they know something that I don't. That KU is going to be alright through this.

He made it sound like maybe this is something KU has been working on for a while, especially mentioning that people around KU have been oddly confident about all this.

Vernon putting himself on the line here. Either a super duper KU insider here on out or he gets forever roasted.

Remember how MU to the Big 10 was squelched. Rumors. Even Missouri's Governor was involved. That wasn't that long ago.

The SEC needed 11 votes to approve the move of TX and OU to the SEC. So didn't matter if Mizzou voted no if A&M decided not to (which they obviously did).

Pretty sure they were unanimously approved. Even A&M voted them in from that verbiage.

I think if those schools wanted to vote no they would have talked to each other and voted no. They only thing they had to lose was a bunch of money. Oh wait....LOL...they voted yes because they care about all those additional $$$ WAY more than some grudge between the teams from their former conference.

Come on maaan! Money is the only thing that really matters when it comes to college athletics. From top to bottom.

right

do you really think that signals that A&M was 100% on board?

imo, it wouldn’t have mattered what misery and a&m wanted...ou and tejas were gonna be voted in regardless. it makes more sense to me that the vote was unanimous in order to show a united front of sorts

maybe i’m wrong tho
