Here's the thing regarding College GameDay. The hill is PERFECT for that setting. Absolutely perfect.
Would be gorgeous.
I remember many were pissed at Perkins because it would/should have been in Lawrence in 2007 (in the bitter, gray cold).
Yup.
KU lost their home game versus MIZZOU in the biggest game of the year for them.
Should have been in Lawrence.
( on a related note, what an awful deal that we, KUBB, have to play at Missouri this year )

I think we've discussed before, but Kansas has some truly odd games on their future schedules..
At Nevada, At La Tech, At Washington State, At Fresno State and more.
Some notable future opponents Misery, Virginia, Illinois.

I'm ok with most of these.
They want to do a road game, so logistically, I don't think it can be anything other than G5 or a bad P5 team.
Will also be interesting to see how many conference games we play in the future. 8? 9? 10?

I've got some friends in Reno so that road trip to Nevada is enticing.

Yeah, I mentioned when it was announced: Long September weekend in Tahoe. Thumps-up emoji.

"Leipold now has won the same amount of road games this season (two) as the last five KU head coaches combined to win in their tenure at the school."

Given their circumstances, I think UNL might be insane to consider anyone else.

If we are counting Clint Bowen, this is correct.
Gill, Weis and Miles did not win a road game.
We won at Central Michigan ( breaking a 46 game road loosing streak ) and Boston College under Beaty.

To be fair, Les Miles was the coach for that Boston College win. That's the game he basically let Dearmon call the offense and Carter Stanley went nuts.

I have not been a fan of Joel Klatt's commentary in past games, but I think he nails it here.
And I'll again give Les Miles credit for helping getting to this point. There was the game in Austin where we lost a shoot out on a last second FG and yes, the dismantling of a P5 team at Boston College. But, he improved the roster numbers and has several players on this roster playing meaningful snaps: Daniels, Neal, Logan, Cabledue, Bryant, Fairchild, etc.

And you know what's wild. Its that Kansas is soooo much better this year than it was during that game in Boston College in 2019. And we thought that 2019 team had some good players and whatnot.
The program is so much better now then it was then. And as weird as it is to say, we have Les to thank for that. Better support systems, more staff and more. Leipold wouldn't have come here in 2018.
Thank goodness he did in 2022 though.

I think they played in Lawrence when James Sims went off in 4th quarter in maybe 2011 and then Colorado was gone the next year..?
That game against Colorado was wild. I think Kansas scored 35 points in the 4th and had numerous play after play go their way and CU's coach's son was QB so they tried to pad stats and it worked out so poorly for them.

Yeah I remember that Colorado game, that was nuts. I still contend that we would have been better off giving Turner Gill another year instead of going out and hiring Charlie Weis. At least Gill had QB Seth Russell on his way to Lawrence. Then he flipped to Baylor when Gill got fired.

Website that shows all the AP Votes.
Kellis Robinett and Blair Kerkhoff a couple of douches.

The poll is super frustrating because of what people thought in the summer.
I heard something today somewhere, maybe twitter, that the pollsters should get the MIB flash to erase their memory and vote based off of what has happened this season, and if they did that Kansas would be top 15 pretty easily.

Too quiet for a 3-0 team on this board why the basketball board is talking obsessively about Duke skipping a beat or not.
Pansies.
