The results wouldn’t really make sense to anyone. The vast majority of countries don’t have political affiliations that correspond to US liberals vs. conservatives. And the you have the issue that the US has had a long established 2 party system. That’s just not how it is in many, many other countries. There can be several parties, one, none, etc.
Yea.
And another tangent, but isn’t most of the rest of the world pretty put off by how sensationalized and oversaturated and OuTrAgEd! the Merican political system is?
I can't really speak to that. I am sure some people feel that way and others don't.
I do think that, when looking at the rest of the world, you might be able to glean somethings related to culture. For better or worse, Americans put a high value on personal freedom and that's how we teach and raise children here. When that manifests into American Exceptionalism, it's a real hindrance to something like combatting a global pandemic through a collective effort.
It’s sure a good thing that once we get past Covid, we will be free of issues that have to be solved by science, and with a unified global effort.

The thing is we don't know how effective any of those measures really were. Especially pre vaccine. Did we change anything? Or just delay the inevitable? Most places with different tactics still yielded fairly similar results

"Caving" is not the word for doing what is right for yourself and family. Caring is the word you are looking for, Randy.

The goal of all these covid measures was always to bide time until a vaccine was created. Well its here and readily distributed. Get one if you choose. With vaccines there is over a 99 percent survival rate. Without vaccines theres still a 99 percent survival rate

All good points...but even those results would be interesting to me. Especially in relation to our country.

All of you covid crisis posters spend too much time focusing on the negative. You focus on the 1-5% of bad news of people getting hospitalized and dying. And you ignore 95+% of the data of covid cases that go untreated or completely unnoticed

Unvaccinated you have like a 99 percent chance of beating covid. Those are really good odds. Thats why I don't think anyone should be pressured or forced into getting a medical treatment they don't need

About the odds of rolling a 2 or a 12 with two dice to not die of Covid. I’ve played enough craps in my life knowing I’d rather not play that game.

Thats not very good math my friend. But then get vaccinated. I dont give a shit what any of you do. If you come to the decision to get vaccinated or not to I fully support it either way. Just don't expect your decision to be everyone's decision

And you're cool with your tax dollars being used to cover the costs for selfish idiots who refuse the vaccine as a matter of principle?

We will probably waste a lot of tax dollars vaccinating people who don't need it too. But of all the things our tax dollars get wasted on, medical treatment for innocent citizens is the least of my concern

And there's vaccinated people who still need treatment too.. with everything going on in the world, I don't blame people for hesitancy or for taking their chances. Stop blaming innocent citizens for being victims of the covid situation.

Randy still seems to operate under this assumption that the vaccine may be an even bigger threat than the virus itself

I night be the least political person on here. Just because I don't agree with you doesn't mean its political. My point this entire thread is people need to be able to make their own choices and decisions. Im anti mandate anti government regulation. Im trying to bring things back to reality and remove politics from it. Stating the obvious that the dems blew covid out of proportion to use in the election is just stating what happened. Did you not watch any debates or anything
So to recap 2020:
21,000,000 people lose their jobs in the first months of the pandemic
tens of millions of people start working from home instead of at an office
tens of millions of students start taking classes remotely with little preparation
US GDP drops about $2 Trillion
600,000 people die of a highly contagious disease which fills hospitals to capacity
the Republicans control the Presidency and Senate and deny, deny, deny covid is a problem while 85 million voters are watching the above play out in real time within their families and friends
And your takeaway is that what motivated 85,000,000 Americans to get out and vote to change the party in control, was "Dem hysteria"?
2020 was just like any other year, except for the Dem hysteria.
Do you listen to any media other than Fox News?

Proportionately speaking all the vaccine stuff (mandates, vilification of unvaxxed, restrictions on access to services/work, etc) impacts black people the most.
