Man vs machine and ousdahl comes out the winner.
I like that.
sounds better than referring to my efforts to get my truck to drive straight as, "conversion therapy."

I hate talking about the weather, but I don't ever recall seeing forecasted temps as low as they will be in the north central US tonight/tomorrow.

Every school in the whole county (Erie County (ie Buffalo, suburbs, rural)) is closed Wednesday and Thursday for cold. High of 1F tomorrow. With wind and lake effect snow (ie a couple of inches of snow an hour in certain bands), not a good time for kids waiting for the school buses before the sun even comes up.

Every school in the area closed here, as well.
Except for KU. You know, the biggest campus with the most walkers.

I remember going out in -5F weather in Pittsburgh, climbing them hills around the Univ, huffing and puffing, and my teeth hurt from the cold! I don't think it ever got that cold during my time at KU. Glad not to have to put up with extreme weather!! Stay warm and safe, people.

I thought only people without children did that. All my co-workers with kids are out all the time for school cancellations. It's really the only benefit to having children that appeals to me.

The kids running around (particularly when unable to be kicked out of the dang house) makes working at home tougher, not easier.
The kids also, sadly or hilariously depending on your POV, have no concept that these snow days are biting into their summer. We can tell them this ten times, but they'll still rejoice as if they're getting a free day off.

Snow days aren't built into the school schedule?
