LOL....There was really no point to that (like many of my posts). Sorry.
Just pointing out that KState should be careful if they move on from Weber. The grass isn't always greener. Illinois fired him and it didn't result in improvement. It actually resulted in decline.

Honestly - KSU should be careful what it wishes for. Being a tournament team roughly half the time or more, with occasional really good runs like last year, is a
great level for them.
I would say the
exact same thing if KU football could get to a corresponding level in football (bowl eligible half the time or better, with occasional 9- or 10-win seasons).

Two of ksu best players are out with injury. Nothing you can do about that. Just crappy luck. Because they were going to have a good year. Nothing you can do.

Agreed. If we can find a football coach that can establish that kind of a program, I’d be advocating for a lifetime contract

Agree.
weber is the perfect fit.
the issue for ksu though, in comparison with us, is that their football program is in an interesting spot to where the level of success you are describing ( bowl eligible ) is something that they may also kill for soon enough.

Does that excuse work for this:

Or this:
http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basket ... =401083249
Or even this?

They were bubbly last year, they're bubbly again this year. Most realized that.

i think ksu would have been a top 25 team ( maybe just barely like exactly 25th ) with a healthy wade and stokes, no bubble about it.
they finished 19th last season at the end of the poll and returned a good deal of talent.
loosing @ tulsa sucks but tulsa isn't that much worse than Washington was last season and they beat us in kansas city.

Bruceketball. Stolen from another site:
"Here are the top 25 finishes in Kenpom the last six years by Big 12 teams since Bruce Weber took the k-state job:
Kansas (6)*
Oklahoma St (3)
Iowa St (4)*
West Virginia (4)
Baylor (3)
Oklahoma (2)
Texas Tech (1)*
TCU (1)*
Texas (1)
Kansas St (0)
*currently a top-25 level team.

that said, they finished 19th AP last season.
with basically their entire starting lineup back.
it made sense why a lot of people picked them high this season.

Yeah, you'd have to be high to pick KSU.

Wait, you're telling me a K-State athletics program padded its record by playing a soft non-conference schedule, and wasn't qualitatively as good as the record suggested?
