Perhaps I misunderstood.
Yes.
But it wasn't exactly obvious or funny.

#14 Buffalo defeats Syracuse 71-59. The game was at the Carrier Dome and Syracuse was supposed to be good this year.
Buffalo is now 11-0 and meets #20 Marquette on Friday. That should be a telling game as West Virginia has been the only other ranked (at the time Buffalo defeated them in Morgantown) team Buffalo meets until the dance.
Buffalo also got around a quarter million bucks to play that game.
I’ve watched Nate Oats Coach a few times now and, while it’s early, he seems to have “it.”

An 8 on a 10 point scale with 10 being Lavar Ball. He's a former athlete getting by on who he used to be on the court who hasn't done anything to prove he can actually coach yet. Entertaining and all but if he doesn't win next year with the recruits he has coming in he will be a very short flash in the pan.

Perhaps I misunderstood. Explain your reasoning why you think Buffalo will be a 16 seed despite being ranked 14th in the country and, I suspect, favorites in every game they will play between now and the tournament.
Buffalo has been to the NCAA tournament three of the last four years. There are only two teams in the mighty Big 12 that can say that.
I agree with DC. Buffalo seems like exactly the type of mid major team that KU would find themselves up against in the tourney - they will most likely be profoundly underseeded a la Wichita State and Northern Iowa due to a committee's disrespect of their schedule. Seems like we get a lot of those.

Ohhhhhhhhh, because Buffalo begins with the letter “B.” Now I get it.

LOL ding ding ding
Bucknell Bison
Bradley Braves
Those days are in the past though. I'm not worried about buffalo. Let's win our conference and see how brackets shake out. This team can beat anyone or lose to anyone once tournament time rolls around....again, funny to feel like we are vulnerable when we haven't lost and have played a tough schedule. We've shown some cracks in our armor, but we've executed well down the stretch of games and that's very important. Can't blow people out every game.

I never said we were? We are going to be a 1 seed....but I'm also not silly enough to think it's not possible we lose our 2nd or 3rd game. It's called March madness for a reason. With a young PG and limited outside shooting upsets can happen. I think we will win a couple games at minimum, but anything can happen....we could win it all. We could go out in our 2nd game.

That could be said about literally every team in the country.

Yep. But I think we are the team in the nation best equipped from a roster perspective to handle any matchup.
Garrett's defense is our MVP. We can put him on just about anyone and disrupt their offense enough to give us a chance to dig out of a hole. In a single elimination tourney, that is huge.

We're going to be in every game we play even at a C+ game. Very few teams can say that.

So far we've beaten two potential 2 seeds ( UT, MSU ) , two potential 5-6 seeds ( Nova, Marquette ) , a 11-12 seed ( Wofford ), 2 13 seeds ( New Mexico State and Vermont ).
7 out of 10 teams are tourney squads.

Not sure if you are intentionally setting me up. Either way, I'll take the bait.
Last year Virginia was 31-2
Beat two 2 seeds, a couple of 5 seeds, etc.
What did that get them?
