Ugh, I wish the defense was worth a damn. If only Mahomes came 4 years earlier.

yeah, but the D across the league is pretty shitty
saw a stat last night that, compared to last year at this same point, there have been ~100 MORE touchdowns scored, league wide, this season

Well, I don't think it's the defense ( because I think the talent has continued to rise ) but rather how the officials call things.
QB's don't have as much fear of getting hit hard so they can stay more comfortable in the pocket.
Corners and safeties can't bump/fight a receiver after five yards.
Defensive players have to be wary of how they tackle and now QB's are getting extra chances on penalties for personal fouls that used to be regular hits.
It's wimpy football to create higher scoring games.
Like they did with college basketball except to a much higher degree.

agree, at least in part...talking heads last night were referencing new rules, particularly related to defensive backs and safeties
that said, in the little nfl i’ve watched it’s been obvious how poor the tackling has been in general

Tacklers are concerned about helmet to helmet contact and have to go lower on the body so there's a big factor there.
That said, yea, fundamental tackling is lacking ( especially with the Chiefs ) possibly because of more off days/no pads practice.

They really want to encourage more offense in the NFL. Gotta try and make up for losing all the fans because of Kapernick's kneeling (I'm kidding, I'm kidding).

I think he's as good if not better than Rodgers. Seriously.

Jags are a top 5 team in the NFL.
They don't need a gimpy and overrated Fournette - they just need the best defense in the league.
New England has the GOAT and they always have an early season swoon ( remember the opener last season ) plus they get Edelman back.
Bengals just went on the road and beat the Falcons.
Like I said, schedule doesn't lighten up.
Light as a feather today. ;0
Wasn't expecting the Chiefs to win by 20+ but I did think they would win by double digits.
It's going to be an impressive win over a good if not great opponent.
Chiefs might as well hang a 2018 AFC WEST CHAMPIONS banner today.

Jax a top 10 team.
They picked off Mahomes twice.
KC a legit top 3 team.
