He's catering to an audience.

Thanks for the warning. Someone brought Downhill up as a possibility yesterday, and all I could think was, "no way"!

I don't dislike Will Farrell, but I'm surprised he's been so successful.

Imho his best role was Frank the Tank, though that may be in part cuz he was more of a secondary supporting actor.

Perhaps it’s that a little will ferrell goes a long way.

(Oh, though if you haven’t seen him perform his stand up special in character as W., I think you’d get a kick out of it.)

I thought Talledega Nights was pretty funny. The ice skating movie was ok. Other than that, I'm not really a fan.

ETA; this one was awful.

Dang.

I was hoping it would be at least serviceable enough to crack the rotation in a ski themed comedy marathon, but maybe not.

Oh!

His best role might be step brothers, but he’s pretty much typecast as the man child he’s known for, so it works.

Don't let me discourage you from seeing it if that's what you want to do. Like I said, the mountain scenes are great.

Meh, I’ll catch it once it’s on Netflix or Comedy Central or whatever.

I haven’t seen a movie in a theater in years.

This page being in a tread entitled Oscars has to say something, I'm just not sure what.

The Other Guys is underrated. One of his best. Agree that Downhill looks like absolute garbage.

JoJo Rabbit was a Wes Anderson fun ( I know not by him ) sharp flick.

Not a best pic deal but fully crafted.
I get why it was nominated.

It was better than I expected. Sam Rockwell was great.

Parasite was fun.
Sharp story. Clever all around.
1917 was a better film.
