I think we can take the PhillipRiverless Chargers without Ward.
Baltimore won't be as easy - Hollywood Brown has some burners.

I just don't think of Lamar as a deep threat. He beats you with his legs, and making something out of nothing. He's not your prototypical pocket passer, which needs your traditional D-Backs. Keeping him contained while pressuring him is the key. Not so much coverage.

Memories of that duck he threw up at Arrowhead toward the end of 2018...

He's a much better player ( and largely because of the threat on the ground ) than Tyrod Taylor.
And more accurate with deep throws than Taylor.
Also the Chargers don't have a receiver like Marquise Brown.

I saw yesterday that 98% of the money in vegas was on the Chiefs to cover....and that is why Las Vegas is rich. A lot of people missed on that game.

I saw Green Bay a few days ago at -6 and thought, holy shit if I was still betting i'd have put all the money down on that.

Just saw that the Chiefs have 29 missed tackles on the season. Only the Jets at 40 are worse. KC is going to need to tighten that up tremendously or Lamar Jackson is going to torch them next Monday.

Their LB play has been really bad.

The rushing defense seems to have reverted back to 2018 Sutton levels.
It's early in the season -- but where is our 2nd round linebacker pick ( Gay ) ?

Neimann in the middle ain’t it. He is a sub package guy at best. Just waiting for Gay to catch up. I do expect to see a lot of Gay and O’Daniel on Monday for the speed.
As a whole the whole unit is tackling awful. Dirty Dan and Juan have both looked awful at times.

The lack of preseason really hurt Gay. He would have played a ton and gotten used to the speed of the NFL, but he is adjusting on the fly and he's just not there yet.

Yeah Juan is definitely rusty. He's a bit timid and slow to react. That'll improve as the year goes on though.

Juan especially, and really that defense in general does have that built in excuses that the lack of reps and more specifically the lack of live reps are showing. I'm not to concerned on how this team looks right now because it should look and play completely different down the stretch.
The regular season is important because home field would be nice but with the unknown as far as fans go I would rather sacrifice growing pains early on for hitting full stride down the stretch.

This is always my favorite match up of the year the last few years. Going to be an exciting game. Ravens are one of my favorite non chiefs teams to watch.

Extra points are too close for Butker.

If Baltimore continues to get 9 yards per carry, we toast.

Ravens are really tired already. Chiefs doing a lot of back and forth going sideline to sideline.
