Jackson is the only 2023 McDonald's All American who has played all season and failed to have a game where they made 4 or more field goals. This isn't normal; he should be further along than he is.

Does Purdue have any McDs AA?

Because if not, then Elmarko is the only McDs AA starting on a top 2 team. A team with an established 4 person core and the best duo in all the land.

Elmarko should focus on playing defense and not turning the ball over. His FG count isn't the top priority for him.

Every analysis of KU is that they are great 1-4 but need someone in their 5-8 spots to start becoming a more reliable scoring option. Based on the fact that Self has started him in every game, the coaching staff seems to believe that Jackson is the best prepared person in that 5-8 group to give minutes. I am just hoping that games like today become a little more the norm for Jackson. He isn't going to average 12 a game but if he can tick that 3pt fg% up from it's current 25% more towards 30% and start converting on a few more of the easier looks he gets a game then it will take some of the pressure off and KU will overall be a better team for it.

KU doesn't need him to be McCullar but he needs to be more like he was today. With such a good team around him, he gets plenty of good looks. Today was very encouraging.
