i wonder what my 94 year old mother thinks about using the unisex bathrooms. i'll ask her.
If she can get in, get done, and get out more quickly, my guess is she would be all for them.

Absolutely. And the sign on the door isn't going to stop sexual assault or inappropriate comments.
It's not a rape/sexual assault thing for me. I have a feeling my daughter wouldn't want to take a shit with boys from her class in the bathroom with her or watching her walk out of the stall. Or sit on a seat boys have been pissing on all day.
Again, we've got a lot bigger fish to fry than this. But, we've also got a lot bigger fish to fry than this....if that makes sense.
and that all makes sense (heck, i wouldn’t want to drop a deuce if there’s a chance that a hottie might be in the room)
when i was in high school we had men’s, women’s AND unisex bathrooms…nobody gave a damn (that i’m aware of)
What’s so hard about a man learning to sit down to pee. I’ve been doing it for years. (Sure a lot easier to clean the toilet.).

The Teamsters weren't invited, but this guy showed up.
As soon as he came out I thought, I'm not sure what his shirt says, but I see a reveal moment coming where we're all going to find out.

We had something similar. It wasn't necessarily branded as unisex, but it was basically a few "private" bathrooms that were single occupancy. I think they were mostly used for physically and mentally handicapped people. Which worked perfectly.
I think with minimal effort we can accommodate everyone, so that everyone feels comfortable.
I don't expect a trans person (let's say a male to female trans) to feel comfortable being forced to walk into a men's restroom either.

I was taught that it becomes progressively harder to empty your bladder completely peeing sitting down, as your prostate increases in size. There is research that refutes that.
Full disclosure: I am a 100%er, as regards standing up to pee. The idea that I would sit down other than to have a bm is a totally foreign concept. To my surprise, this is not at all the case domestically, or internationally.
Guys Who Sit Down to Pee: Why?
Fuller disclosure: I spent 5 years living in a rural area NE of Wichita during college, where I had the opportunity to pee outside with abandon. During that time I bought my first new car, a Honda Accord, and didn't get air conditioning because it would waste fuel, and we had just made it thru the Arab Oil embargo. That inclination toward conservation extended to saving water too, and even tho we already didn't always flush after peeing, doing so outside eliminated using water completely. I've wondered why I see it as so liberating to pee outside, but there was definitely something about doing it at night with all the stars out, from an elevated position, off the back porch...

She has used a unisex bathroom for the vast majority of her life. I think she will enjoy the availability of more bathrooms.

The bathroom signs could say what facilities they offer (eg icons of urinals and or toilets, possibly in stalls) rather than dictating the gender of who can occupy the room.

Someone is going to make billions inventing a compact fixture that accomplishes gender-neutral restrooms without resulting in standers urinating all over the seat. Maybe along the lines of a port-a-potty, there is a small urinal in the corner?

the looney left looning up the bathroom system is yet another reason.

What is it with you people caring so much about what does or doesn't happen between other people's legs?

Dammit, I told my wife that a dog was most likely what peed on the bush outside our room at The Frontier Drive In.

Nothing against using a stand up urinal, but standing up using an at home toilet bowl…too much splatter!!!

The fact that the grand total of complaints on Fox News about last night are
- "JD Vance rips Dem gov for 'wishing' tragedy on his family as abortion rights take center stage at DNC"
(for saying "Make him go through this,")
- "Critics question if Biden is really in control following president's DNC address"
(despite the fact that Biden gave an excellent speech)
- "New York Gov Hochul roasted over ‘painful’ DNC speech: ‘Black hole of charisma’"
(meh, she was not terrible, just isn't an awesome public speaker)
means that it was a very good night for the Dems.

The Rs had NO plan other than Biden's age.
Which of course tracks: the Rs have very little in the way of plans, generally, other than those they publicly disavow.

Let me guess.... you are an old white guy.
You see, the status quo of circa ~1965 seemed perfect to you. Problem is, it was not ideal for the rest of us.
We are not going back to 1965.

I don't even know why we are talking about gender neutral bathrooms except that Gutter mentioned them. I don't recall anyone mentioning them last night.

because the economy and the border and health care and crime and drugs and guns are too complex. so they are gonna talk about toilets instead.
