The trumpty plumpty hires are performing well. This is all about hiring the MOST qualified now.
Sean Duffy, the former reality TV star turned transportation secretary, was asked Thursday morning about how normal it was for military helicopters and other aircraft to get clearance to cross a potentially busy flight path.

“I don’t want to go into too much detail about the information we have from the FAA, but obviously it is not standard to have aircraft collide. I want to be clear on that.”

Duffy was quickly lambasted for stating the painfully obvious.

“I’m starting to think the guy from MTV’s The Real World and Road Rules All Stars might not have a lot of expertise in transportation issues, particularly aviation safety,” one X user wrote.

The source of hope on things like this is that these dipshits aren’t competent enough to do more than break things. Of course there can be terrible consequences from that alone. But it’s not a WORST case scenario.

Right.

It is common sense to him that the mere involvement in a bad situation of a person that is not a straight white male should give rise to at least the presumption that the "other" is to blame.*

That's what you got, egg-pricers.

And you didn't clip the disgusting comment that (with this one) is either 1a or 1b, which was the "what am I supposed to do, swim out there" hand wave.

* I should not have to say this out loud, but: this is an abhorrent thing to have said, EVEN IF it turns out to be the case that 100.00% of the blame for this crash is conclusively attributable to an underqualified person who was hired 100.00% because of their demographic attributes.

Can someone please tell me which of Trump's Cabinet picks got the nomination solely on the merits of the qualifications? If this is what their version of what employment without DEI consideration is then they aren't exactly setting the best example.

One thousand percent, yes.

A person who supported Trump or withheld support from Harris on the basis of inflation was either (1) obviously and objectively, at the time, wrong, or (2) lying about their motivations.

That person signed up for the bigotry and illogic and chaos. For the United States government, when something goes wrong, to presume that "others" are at fault.

The only distinction is whether that person excused those things, or openly sought them.

fish - "the obviously and objectively, at the time, wrong ones" here were establishment dems, who campaigned on some sort of messaging like, "but if you have economic concerns them maybe you're just dumb cuz actually the stock market is doing great!"

Dems are scapegoating the exact same voters they alienated, when they should instead be looking in the mirror and figuring out how to win those voters back.

and either way, scapegoating is such a looser move.

What next - instead of getting better at inbounding the basketball, you wanna just blame the refs?

I'm sure, based on the history of your posts here, you'll understand when I choose not to take anything, especially political advice, from someone so painfully naive about domestic and world events, not to mention, someone so lacking in personal insight.

I feel like you have said all of this. Like as recently as yesterday.

Why rehash and recap every single day?

This is why you're struggling so badly around here man.
