The Bible describes God as "father." Not much wiggle room there.
the "wiggle room" is afforded by considering whether a bunch of translations of translations of the oral traditions of an ancient people, written down decades if not centuries after the fact, really is a reliable and authoritative enough source to determine things like, whether a supernatural deity uses pronouns in the first place.
Or, one might decide that, given that the Deity is a deity, they don't really care much about pronouns and whatever we feel comfortable using is fine.
actually, I agree here!
I think if there is a god, it's gotta be such a powerful entity that constructs like gender are pretty moot.
Even if we try to make it less about gender and more about sex, aren't we talking an uncaused cause here? The creator of heaven and earth? Some omnipresent eternal power not bound by time and space? As such, it's not like god has to perpetuate god's own species. So why would god have reproductive organs?
Just in case he decides to get freaky one night?
Shit, that's so inappropriate. Forgive me, god!
Just in case they/them decides to get freaky one night?
But, since we're here - I think god should be thought of less as whether we believe in god, and more as simply being open to the idea of god.
Cuz I believe each and every single one of us mortals, by default, whether we want to be or not, whether we think we are or not, is agnostic.
That's what makes us mortals!

Many if not most on this site are - in one way or another.
The question is who is proud and who is not proud to contribute purposely to the terribleness of the thread/s.
23.234% of the time I am proud to add to the terribleness (more for my personal entertainment than for other's). 76.766% of the time I am not proud.

I wonder what the question was.
"Ayn, was that you who just fired off that juicy beef-stroganoff-flavored fart that shook the whole room?"
