Embiid is equally as important to his franchise as ANY other superstar in the NBA. He is absolutely on the same level of influence as LeBron when it comes to input within his organization. Embiid is a top 10 player in the league.

It's weird how it bothers some people that Lebron answered the question honestly.
Did you see the full clip? Lebron's wife gives the PC answer and then Lebron says he can't even lie yada yada yada.
Why does it bother you that he wants his kid to make it to the NBA? He didn't necessarily even say on his team, he just said be on the court together.
What a weird thing to become triggered about. His kid is fucking 17. He will spend at least a few years in college.

I will give him credit. This was immediately after it. That being said, I'm not a big +/- guy but for those who are, LeBron was a game worst -30.

I fully expect him to break down again but LeBron is having another MVP level type season right now.

LeBron James > Michael Jordan in regards to their complete careers.
Took me 19 seasons of LeBron playing for me to say that but I feel he's earned it.
Now that being said, if I had to pick a guy in his prime to be on my team in the playoffs, I'd chose MJ over LBJ.

Sounds like a desperate marketing ploy to get his kid in the NBA. What dumb franchise will take the bait?

His kid is a top 40 recruit. Stop it.
I can't wait to see you if he chooses KU for however long he stays in college.
I do think LeBron is getting suckered into talking about it too much. Just let whatever happens happen. No reason to add more pressure than is already there. His kid may need 2 3 or 4 years in college to be NBA ready and then it becomes a moot point because LeBron will be too old to be anything more than a Udonis Haslem bench type guy.

Very well may be the EuroLeague.
5 thoughts and/or questions.....
1. Why does it seem LeBron already knows (not assumes/believes/thinks) Jr. will be playing in the NBA? The kid had a grand total of 4 points in his team's CIF Southern playoff loss Friday night. That's just 4 more than I had.
2. LeBron says he would do whatever it takes to play with his son for one year. Admirable on one hand and very well may be extremely selfish on the other. What does "whatever it takes" truly mean?
3. LeBron says it's not about the money at that point. So from the day he received his first NBA paycheck until that day - it is "about the money"?
4. I sincerely feel it's great how much LeBron cares about Bronny Jr. - until it becomes more about LeBron than it does about Bronny Jr. ONE example being his attending Jr's game/s and making sure he (LeBron) is as much (if not more of) a spectacle as the kids playing in the game/s are.
5. I honestly don't know the answer to this. If Jr. does play in the NBA and scores 1 point - would they be the highest all-time scoring father/son duo in the NBA? My uneducated guess is yes.

Yeah Bronny is a top 40 college prospect or whatever
But does he really have nba potential tho?
It would be one thing if he was a 6’9” freak athlete of a PG, but dude currently looks more like an undersized 2-guard.
That projects less as the next Lebron, and more as the next Malik Newman or something.

You talk like even an NCAA player of the year has almost no NBA future if he is an undersized guard. Crazy talk.

don’t get me wrong - I’m far enough removed from the love to hate Lebron phase that I can appreciate the sentiment here of a father son duo on the same team.
But to have Lebron making these sorts of comments at this point seems like less an actual nba prospect thing in a couple years, and more just another attention stunt right now.

He's being asked these things. He opened the door for those kind of questions to start though.

Yea
He COULD just nip it in the bud by giving these sorts of questions answers like, “I’m not focused on that right now, I’m focused on the next game and the rest of this season”
But as much as he loves the game, he just looooves the attention even more.
