If Illy was on a horse, high or low, it'd just go in circles.

In all the scenarios referenced, it was in a situation where we were playing against them.

I cheer against every player that plays against KU. I always want them to loose. He'd be no exception.

Get off your high horse. No one wanted him to break his leg crossing the street or anything. They wanted Garrett to shut him down in a hypothetical matchup.
No high horse here. Don't even ride horses.

No issue with cheering against KU opponents, obviously.

Maybe I'm having trouble separating things said in the past from the comments made today when it comes to my feeling that some people seem to be angry at and genuinely dislike Grimes.

If I knew how to GIF this is where I'd insert Jamie Foxx riding his horse all fancy like at the end of Django.

When the horse inevitably died either from just going in circles or killing itself, Illy would kick it.

Absolutely not.

I'm 100% against cruelty to animals. Dead or alive.

If there weren't bad feelings toward him, why would you think moving on was best for him?
IIRC he said he chose to transfer because after pulling out of the draft KU didn't have a scholarship for him. Weren't there multiple open scholarships at that point? There for sure was one at the beginning of the season.

I don't see "not having a spot for him" as a real reason if there weren't issues.

There wasn't a spot for Grimes in the role that he wanted to have.

If Grimes was willing to play in the role that Self wanted him in, he would likely be a Jayhawk again this season.

Part of that was being upfront that he was no longer welcome here.

He's easily the least likable OAD we've had.
Him and Cliff are 1-2.
I like to think that Cliff was a sad tale of being a pawn with no knowledge.
And the pawn comment is really just as it pertains to his eligibility.

As it pertains to the actual on-court game, at least Cliff actually showed flashes of why he was a top recruit who would fill a need we had. Grimes was always just so meh.

But I suppose a lot of fans “blame” Cliff for his eligibility issues.

I don’t blame him, or his fam, so much as I blame The Rules.

That’s the only entity toward which I can really be that bitter.

As per usual, handlers/family members who can't keep their mouthes shut/off social media can really impact how our fan base feels about a guy who really did nothing wrong other than struggle like most freshman do. Our players certainly didn't/don't dislike him personally, so that leads me to believe he wasn't a locker room issue.
I don't have "bad feelings" towards Grimes, in the sense that I wish him injury or any specific, material misfortune.

I do, though, think he had a pretty shit-ass attitude when it came to whether he should change, or Bill. And I do think that last year might have gone very differently if he'd, you know, tried.

And so, yes, it would scratch an itch to watch us beat him on the shoulders of a guy with like 1/4 of his talent.

Really?! based on the content of your posts, I more or less assumed that a post like this would've taken you about 11 minutes to draft, give or take. But, I guess, you hammered it out in under a second. Congrats.

Dotson back to 1 in the KPOY standings. Dok 10.

KU now projected to go 16-2.

Yesterday I predicted a team would be in the 2020 Final Four. They lost to a sub .500 team.
#5 ACC Conference leader Louisville got beat by Georgia Tech.
Big East Conference leader #10 Seton Hall lost at home.
