Same here, except I don't think I ever watched a full episode.

So started Squid Games last night, watched episode 1 and about half of the episode 2. I don't know, I just couldn't really get into it. I don't get all the hype.
Been meaning to watch this.
How much of it can be discussed here, and how much should be on the pols bored?

Yeah I dunno. Haven’t watched yet, but lots of reviews saying it’s a critique of capitalism

Similar to Parasite in that regard.
There's the haves and the have nots.

Well, to be fair to ousdahl, this isn't very hidden.
It's a pretty clear commentary.
It's about people who need money doing stupid/dangerous things to provide entertainment ( i think? ) for the rich.

Watching squid games right meow. Kind of started slow. But then red light green light, holy fuck! One of the most ridiculous scenes ever

Quiet Place 2.
Good.
Like how both movies dont waste time--shorter, like flicks from 20 years ago.

I thought the critique of capitalism would be more subtle.
This shit is just like HERES LOTS OF MONEY. It’s just as much commentary on greed and human nature and badass Halloween costumes with PlayStation codes for faces.
(Easter egg: in one scene the faces spell out the code to get the tank in Twisted Metal 2)
But yeah this is ridiculous and entertaining. And ridiculously entertaining. And dubbing isn’t as bad as I thought but now wanna watch with subtitles.

I just do both.
Dubbed and subtitled.

It's first a commentary on Korean society. Or, at best, the negative aspects of Korea's latest approach at capitalism. But, the Korea part cannot be decoupled.
