We will never understand 57 year old men with a baby on the way. Acceptance? Sure.....but understand?

Ohhh! Go figure Trump might unite, then ultimately divide, the GOP like never seen before.
Meanwhile, Dems try their hardest to screw up what could otherwise be a blue wave in 24 against the factioned shell of conservative politics.
I don't think Trump united the GOP. I think he got a lot of toothless hillbillies excited and scared the shit out of some gullible old people, but he never united the party.
Trump was certainly no Ron Reagan.

“This election is fraudulent. The mail in ballots are easily rigged in favor of the radical left as there’s a drive into left field by Castellanos and that’ll be a home run. and so that will make it a 4-0 ballgame. I don’t know if I’ll be putting on this headset again...”

With 0% chance of a concession and all of the major networks cautious to call it, I wonder if Biden HQ still holds their statement tonight.

If anyone united the GOP enough to back trump (and appear remotely united) it was the Dems imo. Many on the right can't stand trump, but they see him as safer for them than the Dems for various reasons (some legit, some not).

From the Fart of the Deal.......
You can’t con people, at least not for long. You can create excitement, you can do wonderful promotion and get all kinds of press, and you can throw in a little hyperbole. But if you don’t deliver the goods, people will eventually catch on.
I think of Jimmy Carter. After he lost the election to Ronald Reagan, Carter came to see me in my office. He told me he was seeking contributions to the Jimmy Carter Library. I asked how much he had in mind. And he said, ‘Donald, I would be very appreciative if you contributed five million dollars.’
I was dumbfounded. I didn’t even answer him.
But that experience also taught me something. Until then, I’d never understood how Jimmy Carter became president. The answer is that as poorly qualified as he was for the job, Jimmy Carter had the nerve, the guts, the balls to ask for something extraordinary. That ability above all helped him get elected president. But then, of course, the American people caught on pretty quickly that Carter couldn’t do the job, and he lost in a landslide when he ran for reelection.

That wasn't a both sides post though.
That was a "some people hate Dems so much" post.
If you don't think the Dems more vocal far left have made it harder for some people to get away from trump you are either in denial or willfully ignorant.
(Speaking of stupid fucking posts....calling people trump supporters who aren't trump supporters at all is played out)

Illy is partially right.
The GOP as a whole was honestly WTF with this guy in 2014-15 - I think most of them wanted a guy like Cruz to win - so in that regard, he's wrong.
But if you define the GOP having to bow to a clown who manipulated the fear and rage against ( some justified, most not ) far left policy as 'uniting', then he's right.

Many Pub folks in 2016 - YOU LOST - ACCEPT IT.
Many Pub folks in 2020 - WE LOST - WE ARE NOT GOING TO ACCEPT IT.
They are the same fuckwads who feel the need to say ALL LIVES MATTER in response to those who say Black Lives Matter. Damn straight they do. The Black ones might be the difference makers in what buried your guy. Go ahead and hate them even more.

Or don't hate them and let's stop focusing on things that make us different rather than things we have in common.
