When we woke this morning, it was 49 INSIDE our home. 60 would have felt like BBQing weather.

Just to be clear

The government periodically shuts off your electricity for the greater good and everyone accepts it.

The government asks you to wear a mask for the greater good and people fight it like it's the end of the world.

3 days of rolling black outs is ten times more inconvenient than 9 months of wearing masks in public.

We have a gas fireplace. Every time the rolling blackout kicks in, we layer up.and huddle around it like bums under an overpass.

I hate to bring politics into this, but our very own Governor is out here blaming this shit on the Green New Deal... Hilarious and sad... JFC, everything from the right must be politicized! Including weather!

I was on the border of this. My coworkers that live 10-15 miles west of me got an inch or two. I got a foot. And that's on top of what was already there. My patio furniture is completely gone - can't see it at all.

My hot water line froze last night... That’s a first. And probably a last in these parts...

Bad look as a public figure. There is some truth in it tho, we should be better prepared to take care of our own and we should be more readily able/acceptant of taking care of our neighbors and community. It is only recently (in a historic sense) that so many were reliant on so few.

The folks are waiting patiently for sparkle and dazzle to start making good on some of them many promises. Or at least act like they are going to make good.

Photo ops signing off on the dinner menu and handing out valentines isn’t what we had in mind.
