in other news...as much as I didn't want to support anything elon...I did order starlink last night. It's gotten great reviews and is essentially my only real option out here..plus, they were having one helluva sale. So...we shall see how that goes

got starlink up on the ridge today, was waiting until the roof was done (I splurged fir the special ridge mount kit that uses pretty powder coated ballasts and requires no penetrations in my spiffy new roof).
It....is...pretty terrific. I went from a download speed of ~10-13 on a good day to now, with starlink, im getting speeds somewhere between 110-150.
Probably best to stay in Elons good side.
