I gotta say, great player for this time, but it's like basketball of old, compared to today, the moves/shots just aren't as impressive anymore.

I saw Messi in NY toy with the US national team for a half.
He's way better than Maradona.

Not at all convincing, though.

Well, right, he has a career of beautiful soccer.
But being there live and watching him just dance around our team with ease was a sight to see.
Howard though was in xgames mode.

And it's not close. I mean he's a top 5 all-time player. I actually think Ronaldo from Brazil could be considered better. Time for a list!
Yeah on a redo, I would move Zidane up to 5 and move everyone else down.

George Best would have been a Top 10 candidate if he could have stayed sober

Maradona second behind Pele. Just watch videos. He was out of the world.

And those United teams were pretty blah around him too, right? If they had some better teams, he would be more well known to all.

I'm certainly not old enough to have watched those United teams, but they were still a pretty good club. Not nearly the powerhouse they've been since the Premier League started in 1992 though.
Best didn't have the greatest ending to his Manchester United career.

I think both Maradona and Messi are overrated. Not to say they are not all-time greats, but I think both are closer to 10 than 1.

KC v Minny was some of the first sports action I saw outta COVID in the MLS is back tourney.
If I remember right, we lost in the last seconds after Melia got a red card 20 minutes earlier.

We are co-favorites to bring home the Cup according to 538. But, losing to the Loonies feels very possible. Thought the last game was the more dangerous matchup, though.

Remember when Wondo was brought to Brazil instead of Landon Donovan because of his clutch moments but then missed a gimmie goal that likely would have sent USA through over Belgium?
