Their best tune, at least in my opinion.
Rolling Stones are one of those bands who I would like a lot more if they had a different singer. Same with Foo Fighters and Dave Matthews Band.
How do you not like Mick...or Dave Grohl?

Dave Grohl is one of the best frontman personalities but also one of the worst professional singers to ever stick his mouth in front of a microphone.
Like a male version of Sheryl Crow. It’s just so hollow and tinny and I wouldn’t wouldn’t be the poor painter trying to mix it at the Granada
Helluva drummer tho

I like Dave Grohl and Mick Jagger as an artist and musician. I just personally dont think they are very good singers to listen to. I'll still listen to both of them, though because I enjoy the rest of their music.

I'm not sure who you replace Mick with. Wouldn't be the same band.

I sometimes like that some singers aren't technically the best. A lot of them have character to their voice.
My favorite rolling stones song (as of today, these things change) is street fighting man. But their catalogue holds up with just about anyone.

Yeah, I think there’s something to be said for a singer who sings earnestly or genuinely or in some folky kinda way, even if not on some technical virtuoso level

a lot can be said for having “soul” when it comes to being a performer

BINGO! Mick Jagger is a "performer" first. Singer second.

This is the case study to analyze.
Dude started out with his “drunken hillbilly” vocals during his initial folk acoustic thing
Then the electric era, with the spoken word beatnik combined with primordial howls
Then the Nashville Skyline album, when he suddenly busts out this bright brassy country crooner thing. When an interviewer asked what prompted the vocal overhaul, from someone trying way to hard to sing after hardly trying at all for so long, Dylan in his Dylan way replied, “oh I guess I didn’t notice, maybe it was cuz I quit smoking”
Then the mid 70s Blood on the Tracks album era and the rolling thunder revue tour, is imho the best singing of his career. Dude’s just kinda letting it happen, very candid earnest tones, no gimmicks or quirks or shticks, just singing his heart out
Then after the 70s I dunno but pretty sure his voice was legit shot after that. Like vocal chords just physically worn out or something. Or maybe he just finally and completely stopped giving a fuck.
Nah oussie would be on the other side probably. Nirvana is rich. They owe this baby his money. What if he cant afford diapers. They made money on their own effort and talent so they should give it to him who did nothing but float.

Maybe the Nirvana baby would have more of a case if he alleged, “but do you realize how many chicks still think my dick is that size?!”

In the lawsuit he alleges that they enlarged his genitalia.
I dont know why thats part of the lawsuit. But seems it might be a counterpoint to your last statement.

And related, and I’ve prob shared this story before, but some interviewer asked Gene Simmons who the best band since Kiss was.
Without hesitation, Simmons replied, Nirvana.
He reasoned that while almost every band since Kiss happened because of the marketing, Nirvana happened despite the marketing.
No marketers or record execs or publicists wanted to promote this band singing about addiction and suicide and dark depressed shit. But they were wildly successful anyway, not because of the marketing, but because they were real and they rocked.
