Maybe this whole notion that there arent any great teams this year should be redressed.

Baylor has won 22 straight.
Gonzaga has won 18 straight.
San Diego State has won 26 straight.
Kansas has won 10 straight.
Duke has won 7 straight.
Dayton has won 14 straight.

Feels like a tourney where a bunch of teams seeded 5-8 lose early, resulting in a Sweet Sixteen loaded with Top 4 seeds.

I definitely see other ways to read into that.

Still don't know how good Gonzaga and SDSU are.

Dayton makes me a believer because of Maui...but no telling how good they are right now either.

But the 3 from major conferences have seemed to separate themselves.

Baylor made WVU look like last year's WVU team on Saturday. They're definitely a team that's better than the sum of its parts.

West Virginia looks like the 5th best team in the conference.

WVU and TTU act like the #3 spot in the conference is the corona virus.

Quickly becoming a conference with only 2 good teams.

Baylor's streak is legit. Every game I watch them I'm more and more convinced they are the real deal.
Gonzaga is beating up on the school of the blind. They've won 38 consecutive regular season conference games. I mean, come on. That conference is horrible.
SDSU is the same way
KU would be 14 straight had they beat the team who has won 22 straight.
3 of Duke's 7 games have been single digit victories over teams that might not even make the NIT.
Dayton combines Duke with Gonzaga/SDSU. Not playing great competition and certainly not blowing them out.

Those may be the 6 best teams in the country, but I wouldn't necessarily say they have seperated themself from the rest of the field, except maybe Baylor. Wouldn't be surprised one bit if 2 of those 6 teams didn't make the second weekend.

At least gonzaga has been favorites in the tourney before. I think SDSU will find it be a different animal from a pressure standpoint not being the team that everyone is gunning for in the bracket. I just dont believe Duke is that great this year.


Baylors real, Kansas is real.

I think Dayton is pretty damn good. I never trust Gonzaga and i cant stand them or their fans but i think they are a final four caliber team.

Also, Maryland has looked like a final foue caliber team over the last month or two.

I read the other day that Mark Few and Gonzaga have beaten a 3-seed or higher in the tournament just one time: 3-seeded Utah.

That can't be an accident.
