he said something along the lines of “the worst thing he could find out as a parent, was that his kid was gay”

there may be other things, too, and i believe that comment was also part of a stand-up bit

he also apologized numerous times, but it was never good enough (apparently)

Kevin Hart has some Dane Cook in him.
Maybe if I was younger, i'd find him funnier.

If you're talking right now, give me a top 5 of John Mulaney, Patton Oswalt, Nate Bargatze, Anthony Jeselnik and Bill Burr. ( honorable mention Michelle Wolf, Aziz Ansari, Sam Morril )

If you're talking all time top 5 ( sorry olds like Pryor and Carlin ) give me Dave Chapelle, Louis CK, Chris Rock, John Mulaney and Mitch Hedberg. ( Galafanakis just misses the cut )

Kevin Hart seems to be for kids, or at least people with kids. Not my cup of tea, but it at least seems genuine because that's his life now. Supposedly, he's one of the hardest working guys out there and is just printing money.

Not that funny to me.
Robin Williams is too much.
Not denying the talent, just not my cup of comedy tea.

His Netflix movie Fatherhood sinks right in there as a harmless/heartfelt "OK, you want to watch Holidate, I want to watch Army of the Dead, but we both might somewhat barely like this".

Kevin Hart does seem to have some lowest-common-denominator kind of appeal.

But heck, Adam Sandler used to be funny too.

Though, if Hart gets some family friendly points, there’s a lot of money in that.

Any list I would make would change based on mood, political climate, etc. Unless I further broke them down into sub-categories.

Sometimes I'm in the mood for Brian Regan, or Jim Gaffigan, or Demetri Martin, Other times its Bill Burr or Tom Segura, Other times Jeselnik, etc. etc.

Chris Rock at his best was pretty fucking tough to beat.

Segura is a great mention too.
I don't like Schumer.
It's pretty well known she's stolen a lot of her stuff.

Leggero and Wong both have good specials.
But kind of like Chapelle has done recently -- if a lot of your stuff is about you aren't respected as a comedian because you're a [ ] or because you're doing [ ] you loose appeal for me.

There's irony in that that is tough to get past, especially when it's on Netflix or HBO or something.

I'd be more receptive if it was a hand-held video posted on youtube or something.

She's approaching Norm McDonald territory in terms of a library of very funny late night talkshow moments (both as a stand up and on the couch).
