Rodgers better O-Line. Better RB.
Mahomes better receiving core ( though I think at this point, Davante Adams may be an all around better WR than Hill ).
Both deserving - i think because Mahomes sat out week 17, it's definitely now going to Rodgers, and may have regardless.

The NFC was simply not very good this year. Rodgers basically put up AFL numbers and will win, but teams failed to put him in situations like Mahomes endured. Mahomes had little protection and had to create space and arm angles to win. Rodgers generally had plenty of time. Rodgers is the second best QB, with Allen coming close on his heels. The Saints will probably get a say.

I'm guessing PhD is on a pro ARodgers anti-sparko campaign.

Pro-Discount Double Check...yes.
But there is no one who is more pro-sparko than I.

I more meant a playful egging-on sparko campaign.
Sparko is like a fun harmless and sports focused Lobster.
He is great.

Rodgers has a Top 5 WR, RB, TE and O-Line.
Mahomes has a Top 5 WR and TE.

Tonyen was 3rd in total fantasy points and 6th in points per game for TE in my league. He is really good. Definitely Top 10. The Chiefs don't have a Top 10 RB or offensive line, let alone Top 5. Rodgers is definitely playing on a loaded roster at least as much as Mahomes.

Just for the hell of it I went and looked at Rodgers and Mahomes games against common opponents.
Both guys played against the Texans, Saints, Buccs, Panthers, and Falcons.
Rodgers had better games against the Saints and the Falcons.
Mahomes had better games against the Buccs and the Panthers.
I would call it even against the Saints.
Make of that as you will.
Yes, I agree/feel Rodgers has had the better OL and RB.
Yes, I agree/feel Mahomes has had the better WR and TE as a whole.
Obviously a strong case could be made for either guy and I would have no issue if either one won MVP.
P.S. After watching the 3 games yesterday, my hope is the Chiefs and their fans are feeling pretty good today. None of the 3 teams that won yesterday impressed me enough to believe they are in the same caliber as the Chiefs. Not even close.
I have a strong feeling after today I will feel the same way about the other 3 teams that win.
Although, I do believe a team who brings their A game in all 3 facets can give the Chiefs a big challenge if they don't play a B (or better) game.

Rodgers had a great year. So did Henry. And Mahomes found ways to win nobody else could. He ran for his life this year. So much goes into winning beyond the stat sheet. Wins and losses matter most to me. But clearly Rodgers was favored early and seemed inevitable. I don't like the man, and I suppose arrogance is not a disqualifier for MVP. PhD has seemed a bit more irascible than ever lately, but I have always respected his humor. Whisky was in another league from all of us.

Saturday afternoon/evening.
Rams at Pack.
Ravens at Bills.
Sunday afternoon/evening.
Browns at Chiefs.
Bucs at Saints.
Go Ravens.
Browns have had some good wins and Kareem Hunt will be fired up but they lost to the Jets and arent particularly built for comebacks. If Mahomes doesn't have one of his patented cold first halves, this should be Chiefs by double digits.

Browns have a good rushing attack and Mayfield can do enough to win. But their secondary kind of stinks, and they might have blown their wad.
If you asked the Chiefs the one team would want to play before the weekend ended, it would have been the Browns.

Cleveland's defense is slightly worse than the Chiefs in yards per game - but yes, they really do struggle against the pass ( 22nd v the pass ). They just let Big Ben throw 500 on em ( albeit, with 4 picks ).
Their offense is also middle of the road.
They should get Denzel Ward back for this weekends game, which will help them.
If we limit our turnovers to 1 or 2, I think we'll have a comfortable win.
