I think trump's time in office may try to push our boundaries of what we actually feel is humane and just. Those who didn't vote in the election may ( hopefully ) look around and see the damage being done.
So simply not doing that anymore would drive voters out to vote for something different.
The concern is, are there enough people who won't be duped into putting the blame of the damage on other groups of people they don't like/taught to fear? Are there enough people not doing their own research and not simply believing every word that comes from the current administrations lying mouth?
just yesterday we were just debating the math of "those who didn't vote" (or voted third party).
I'm afraid a non-vote or third party vote is not simply a vote for only the particular candidate for whom the vote is cast, and not simply a vote against any other particular candidates either, but a vote against the entire system.
one party is like, "yea we're gonna just wear the fascism on our sleeve," and the other party is like, "vote for us cuz we're the only thing standing up against fascism, but also we want you to stop making such a big deal about things like GENOCIDE, not that makes us fascists too."
I think that just disenchants a lot of people regardless.

The system is busted.
But this thing "vote for us cuz we're the only thing standing up against fascism, but also we want you to stop making such a big deal about things like GENOCIDE, not that makes us fascists too" is so tired from you.
If that prevents you from voting for them, that is absolutely your choice, and i'll defend that because it's how our votes should be used - as we see fit.
But simplifying the Democratic party's response to the conflict in Israel to 'stop making such a big deal about things like GENOCIDE' is so meh.
No need to try to hash it out. You've tried for hundreds if not thousands of posts.

Now, looking back at myself, you could easily say the same thing about me and the changes in college sports.
But just laying out why that particular act from you is tired.
Just like i'm sure some posters ( and some have mentioned it ) think my act regarding NIL is tired.
That said, if complaining about amateur sports taking an express train to pro makes me a villain, point me to my evil headquarters.

Obama had charisma. Biden doesn't, Harris doesn't, Hillary certainly didn't.
Speaking of lacking "charisma", I've never considered Virginia Senator Tim Kaine to have much, but he does a superb job of using this "conservative" nominee's words against him at his confirmation hearing:
“I Want To Know What’s ‘Woke And Weaponized’ About Providing Food Assistance To Low-Income Kids?”
Tim Kaine asked Trump's nominee for the Office of Management and Budget how cuts to SNAP and Pell grants dealt with "woke and weaponized" government bureaucracies.

without going full can of worms, and just out of curiosity:
on the issue of genocide, what would it take to make it seem less tired?
what would take to make the concern seem less simplifed?
and/or less meh?

The first casualty in my sphere of people.
Annie had a work study employee and student at the college who is from Columbia. Hard worker and good student. Student/worker went home for Christmas and decided not to return until after Jan 20.
Visa has been canceled and they can not return to the US to continue their education. Annie tried to warn them back in December but the thought was, "they can't do that".
They did and fighting it from South America is not going to happen. Oh well, I am sure there is a deserving MAGA kid out there ready to step up and work in a composting facility while furthering their education.
Interviewing pro tip: Don't wear a MAGA hat during your interview. Straight up telling an interviewer that you might be a Christian Chauvinist Nationalist in an interview is likely not going to be a plus when most of your coworkers are going to be young women. No one needs that sort of distraction in the workplace.

Keep trying your thing. People will eventually see what you're seeing, i'm sure.

I'm trying to get advice as to what about my "thing" I could try that might make people a little more open to consideration.

You could write in normal sentences. Reading most of your posts is mentally exhausting to sort through. It's like giving a room full of 5th grade boys a case of Red Bull and a bunch of percussion instruments.

Is there is no bottom for Republicans? None?
If you know anything about Cassidy Hutchinson she was a dyed in the wool, "real" Republican conservative, through and through. She did what she thought was right, and this is the treatment she received from "Patriotic", "Real American", Republicans. Shameful. Shameful.

That actually sounds like a lot more fun.
I had lunch today with a younger employee, two years out of college. He was a Bernie bro in college. He seems to be working towards pragmatism. He agrees that you can't change jack until you actually get control of the steering wheel.

The preferred party of sexual predators, misogynists, white nationalists and oligarchs. It's a big tent. Many of my conservative friends seem uncomfortable sharing space with the new alt right wing.

it's a good burn, I'll give ya that.
And I was gonna say "normal sentence" smack talk seems silly.
but instead, I'd rather just say I'm flattered twocoach admitted to reading most of my posts!

This is the truest, yet funniest post on this site in quite a while.
