Yeah, tough luck for sure. Taylor jogging to first instead of beating that throw when he hit Pineda pissed me off.

No kidding. Other than the Singer kicking the ball up in the air weird play, just about everything that could go wrong, has. At least Santana picking up some innings to keep our pen fresh for rest of the series.

Too many RH bats today. Funny that O’Hearn and Dyson watching so far.

Shitty game today, but 6-3 road trip is always a major success

It’s time to start talking about Keller. Officially only 2 ER, but had a good part in those 7 even with the errors

I'd have to imagine that, about as often as not, .500 road teams are playoff teams.
The only things I want from this season are: (1) development of the key guys, and (2) some reason to pay attention into September.
Mixed bag on #1 so far, but #2 is looking good.

100% agree on 1 and 2. Our young starting pitchers aren’t really performing, but the rest of the team cept some of the defense is really gelling. But it feels like the ASB we could be buyers, and roll the dice after that. It’s going to be a hard crash to not be competitive around the ASB, and since we have quite a few vets, and the Central might be pretty weak, I think there’s a good chance we are scoreboard watching in September.

I’d like to be neither a buyer or seller at the ASB.
The window, if it exists, is 2022 to 2025.
Although, Duffy may force that hand

Banners man. They seem to fly forever. If Royals need a piece in July, they need to trade prospects

No doubt, but I don’t think a banner is realistic in 2021

6-3 road trip. That’ll play.

I love the move. A few thoughts:
* This is
exactly what you do if, a month in, your record is probably a few games better than deserved. By improving the baseline
talent on your roster, you're locking in your luck gains.
* I continue to think that consistently
not playing service time games absolutely does and will pay off. An example is that guys are probably more willing to be flexible on roles when the organization has a reputation for doing guys right.
* I think too much is being made of Lynch taking Junis' spot, rather than Keller's or Minor's. The reality is that, given the truncated previous season (and no minor league season), you're just going to need a dozen-plus starters this year. You might have ten guys with 100 innings (where ordinarily you'd target five guys giving you 200 innings).
* I think there's at least some major upside potential for Junis in a bullpen role, anyway.

Who in the American League is loads better than the Royals right now? You shoot the shot given. You don't play for 2023 if you can make a serious push at 2021.
