I guess I didn't know calling a timeout gave you a new 10 second clock.

The 10 second back court rule where the clock resets on a timeout is a bad rule.

Should be a 10-second violation when cuse still didn’t have it across with 18 left on the shot clock.

Same time post!

I wonder if that is a rule change?

Rare enough to where I bet no one can name an example of when it's happened.

I can't see how Chris Beard could tell his players that he's leaving for a rival school and then coach against them 2-3 times a year for the next 1-3 years...I don't care what the job is.

Tough to overcome a team who goes 14-31 from 3. That region is a mess. Is Loyola the best team left?

I also think this rule should be changed to 8 seconds

Been that way always. It's such a shitty rule. You basically can let a team bail itself out for playing shitty basketball for 9 seconds. Also, 24 second clock needs to implemented, and 8 second backcourt call. This game has too much walking with the basketball.

It's because coaches usually get fired, or move up. It's just rare to move up, or move down in the same conference. For Big 12, you'd have to go to Kansas. If it's SEC, you have to go to UK. If it's ACC, you have to go to Duke/UNC. These jobs just don't open up often. Coaches don't lateral, unless it's a KSU to WVU situation, which was nearly the same conference. It likely happens more in football, but if you think a coach like Brad Underwood gives a fuck about his players if he was going from OSU to KU, he wouldn't.

Happens more often in smaller conferences.

And again, it’s different with Kansas. The blueblood jobs just don’t open up that often. Donovan was thisclose to taking the UK job and backtracked. Self gave OSU a serious shot at his services.

9 makes sense to me with the nba being 8. It should have been changed when they trimmed 5 seconds off the shot clock.

The shot clock should definitely not be 24 seconds in college. Even in the NBA this can restrict ball movement to find a good shot and leads to hoisting shit up.
