I watched the post game presser. Last questions he was asked he basically said just he, Davis, and one other player (I think he said Christie) are under contract to return. Not sure if that's true or not.
Said it's up to Rob (Pelinka) to figure out what to do with the team. Then got kind of sentimental and reflective. One of the last things he said is he doesn't play to get to conference finals - he's done that many times and he plays to get to the Finals. Interesting he didn't say win the Finals. I assume that's what he meant.

Call me crazy but I don't think the 2020 playoff Lakers had much better of a roster than the 2023 playoff Lakers.
I wonder who Pelinka can promise LeBron he can get to play with him. Harden? Kyrie? Who can he get in a trade?

The man can still play basketball at the level of one fo the best players in the league. It's HIS dream to play with (or at least against) his son in the NBA. My worthless guess is if he can stay somewhat healthy, he continues to play for two more seasons. Despite it being a major grind for him.

Next best player on his team tonight?
Undrafted Austin Reaves.

Talking about retirement but I don’t think he retires til his son is in the league:

Agreed. I think he is just laying the groundwork to be a free agent so he can join whatever team drafts his son, who will be drafted higher than a player of his caliber should ever be drafted in the hopes of having both James' on their team.

I dogged on Bronny two years ago. Now as crazy as I am, I'm thinking Bronny might end up being a nice NBA player if he truly has the LeBron work ethic in his blood.
He looks bigger than 6-2 180 to me.
Side note - I wouldn't be shocked if LeBron is a grandfather in the next 9 months.
Bronny's girlfriend/prom date looks like she knows what she's doing.

I looked up Bronny's prom date.
My comments will remain, conflicted, to myself.
( That conflict has nothing to do with the most vile/bigoted line of thinking, interracial dating, which seems to be a hot topic on search )

was just watching some of Jokic’s ridiculous shots

pretty fucking amazing

off one foot, fading away, and over AD

normally i’d say they were more luck than anything, but i don’t think many would question his shot-making abilities

I don't follow the NBA very closely until the playoffs, (the games are too boring because the players are so good), so I could be wrong, but judging from the playoffs, I can see why some argue that Embiid was voted the MVP because Jokic had already won it the last 2 years.

Not gonna lie pdub, the Celtics finished so badly in game 3 and the vibe was so negative afterwards, it felt like a game 4 and the series was over. So, although I sorta kinda knew there was a game tonight, when I checked my CBS Sports app to check the station and time, it felt like a bit of a surprise. I feel for you having your team, which did so well during the season and entered the playoffs with much higher expectations than being eliminated by the 8th seed, Miami, perform so poorly, so far. I hope they win tonight because the more games, the better.

Speaking of the Celtics, I was way into BB at a young age and was ~ 8 y/o when an older cousin was nice enough to take me to see one of my heroes, Bob Cousy who was still playing, live at the Central Branch YMCA in Wichita. It felt very exciting and to an extent, life-changing at the time, because I was already playing organized BB with referees and clocks, I was good, and it was all I cared about.

I give. I might have whined before, but having a game at 8:30pm beats not having any game at all.

When I don't have a dog in the fight I go for the underdog, except, I don't like the city of Miami, so I started the series rooting for the Celtics. But Miami was such a bunch of ballers and the Celtics sucked, as if they expected to win by showing up, or something, so I changed to the Heat. Changing to the Heat was easy b/ they were the underdogs. But then the Heat went up 3-0 and became the favorite so in the interest of more games, I'm back to rooting for the Celtics for the next two games.

Being a fan is complicated.

It probably doesn't matter anyway in the end, because whether it's the Celtics or the Heat, I expect the Nuggets to win the title.

I read somewhere....not sure where now...that theorized that Lebron is in no way considering retirement BUT, now everyone is talking about retirement and his legacy and NOT talking about how his ass got swept. They said its his way to control the narrative and that he always tries to control the narrative in the press.

Who knows if there's any truth in that but it makes sense to me. I really dislike that dude. anyway.....carry on....go Nuggets....I guess, I really couldn't care less though.

If I'm half as good as Lebron when I'm 38, I'll be ecstatic.
