Thanks, corporal bone spur. You were too good to serve, but American troops who leave their families and make huge sacrifices in order to make us safer deserve better than this.

His method/strategy has been piss poor, but China has taken advantage of us for too long, so something had to be done even if there are negative consequences. Doing nothing wasn't working either.

China is fundamentally corrupt. Their business model is to steal the work of others and profit off of that work thanks to shoddy materials and cheap labor with no R&D expense.
Expecting a nation who doesn't respect rules to play by our rules is asinine. Pass all the rules, trade agreements, etc you want. Their word means nothing because they are a nation that is built on theft, fraud and deception.

They steal our intellectual property. From corn seed to hi-tech, they are taking advantage our our nation's relative adherence to laws, rules and morals.
Trump is conceptually better against China because he doesn't follow laws or rules and his moral code is a transactional moral system. His right vs. wrong line is whether ir not he profits from a decision, which is much more aligned with how China works.
The problem is that Trump is also an undisciplined moron who makes no attempt to learn, or even admit, that there are things that he doesn't know well. China on the other hand is brutally disciplined and constantly working to address their weakness and is able to manipulate Trump like the toddler he is.

i really wanted illy’s answer, but thanks for playing
i don’t deny any of that. i just don’t blame them as much as i blame ourselves for allowing it to happen. american’s insatiable thirst for cheaper, newer shit, has in my opinion been one of the major factors for them having the footprint they do.
if american’s really cared about trade with china, they should stop buying shit made in china.
try it, it’s actually pretty difficult (especially around christmas) to buy only MADE IN THE USA goods. why is that? obviously there’s a complex answer, but it is as much our own fault as it is any other country’s...imo

Even my 6 year old points out how much stuff we have is made in China, mainly because of how much I complain about not buying "cheap Chinese crap". I make a concerted effort to avoid things made there and agree that it is very difficult.

I like how you provided an "answer" for me and then called it stupid.
I am not making any attempt to offer up a fix on a message board to our issues with China. It is endlessly complex and requires far greater minds than mine. How it gets "fixed" is beyond me. Maybe "dont put a moron in the Oval Office" would be a good start.

I didn't provide an answer for you. That wasn't even your post quoted you fucking moron. My response to you was above that.
But rich of you to talk about "providing answers" and then making statements about said answer... that twocoach101

Just because I did not offer a solution doesn't mean that I think the answer is to do nothing. Do you understand the difference?

You specifically stated "so do nothing? Stupid." as if I stated that there was nothing we could or should do to change the current situation. As you said "words matter" and those are the words you chose.
