The NFL schedulers killed the Chiefs. This looks like a planned ass-beating year. I thought they played the Pack next week. If not, the Giants looked great today.

Hardeman fumbles at inside the 5. Icing on the cake.

The NFL does not reward consistency. It wants parity not dynasties.

Weird how Tennessee has so many free agents. The cap doesn't seem to matter. They seem to be Tampa Bay this year. All those injuries and they still run out pro bowlers and sign Jones.

Yeah. And they doubled down. Chiefs have been ambushed early and often.

I mean I was told that this was the way the schedule is designed when you are in first place. You draft last and you get the hardest schedule.

You are correct. The rotation of which divisions a team will face are set in advance and which team from that you face are based on the previous season's results. The NFL pretty much just has input into the order of the games based on events scheduled to happen at each facility.
But after losses, the refs and The Man are easy targets to vent frustrations.

Not sure the Chiefs can fix this in-season. Their defense is expensive and are the worst in the league. If things don't get turned around, not everyone in the front office/staff can survive a bad season when you're wasting a season of prime-Mahomes.

This team just isn’t very good.
The rest of the league got better while the Chiefs didn’t.
To me it starts and ends with Veach and Reid. Veach made every move for this roster and the fact is, talent wise it is mostly average outside of the usual suspects. We’ve had the same conversation over and over again about why guys like D-Rob, Neiman and Sorenson all play meaningful snaps. This has a feeling of a comedy of errors building up to an absolute shit show of an ending.

It has compounded though. You were all smiles and sunshine when I told you weeks ago that CEH fumble loss was huge. "This team will be fine. Blah blah blah." And then the phantom PI call the next week. And the wheels came off with no margin for error.
The schedule was front-loaded to kill. There is time to turn it around. But the defense looks unworkable. Would be nice to get some calls too. KC is being gashed by key penalties that don't get close to evenning out.

Both of our lines are terrible. You can whine about calls and refs and schedules all you want. We ain't winning dick until that is fixed.

If I was GM we would have Trevon Diggs, DK Metcalf, LJ Collier and Jimmie Ward.
Instead of Clark, Hardman and CEH.

So I wore my Chiefs shirt to Banners today. Best burgers in town and every football game on the teevees.
I get ride home from Lyft cuz I'm half gushered (never get full gushered), and Mrs 99 asks if I was embarrassed and turned my shirt inside out.
"Damn, I didn't think of that."

5 yes or no questions....
1) If you were GM would the Chiefs go undefeated - and win the Super Bowl every season?
2) If you were GM would you hire me to be your coffee fetcher, AND let me attend every home and road game all expenses paid, AND give me a Super Bowl ring each season, AND pay me $250K a year?
3) If you were GM would you ban anyone who is a "member" on here from Arrowhead?
4) If you were the GM would you change the team name?
5) If you were GM would you still be the king of this site or would you relinquish your duties?

Sure, no problem.

Nope
4) If you were the GM would you change the team name?
I'm open to that. Sure. I'd for sure discourage that stupid chop.

I'm King of the World.
