migrants migrate
who knew?

Illegally. SMH.
Not all migrant workers are here illegally. US law allows for some migrants to work seasonal farm work provided that they have a certificate of registration with the Dept. of Labor. In my opinion, if a US based company is not following the law and only hiring properly certified individuals then they should be the ones to pay a hefty fine and should face jail time if they repeatedly violate the law.

The GOP has proven that they have zero interest in correcting the #1 issue that they bitch about.
If immigration got fixed, they would only have low water volume showers and gas stoves to campaign on.
Oh, and electric boats, for some fucking reason.

Were it not for how taxing being an online educator was, far worthier non-DEI mediocre dudes would be Vice President again.

This go here?
New CBO report - increase in immigration (legal and illegal) would reduce the deficit by $897 billion over 10 years, mainly because immigrants pay taxes and spur economic growth.

Meanwhile the Rs are running their same Tecmo-Bowl-sized playbook - the caravans are coming, but also the Ds are finally spending/“getting tough on the border” because it’s election season.

You would think if one was employed by higher education, one would support supporters of higher education. Things like student debt relief, enhanced grants in aid and employment outplacement. That is not 3D chess. And the border is more secure. The Trump migration is petering out. El Mayo est fini.

I was listening to an NPR program yesterday called "The World", and they did a story from Venezuela. It was really sad to hear the details. They said 20% of the population have left the country.

What about it? Trump blocked the most comprehensive border bill in many years because he thought it would benefit him politically.

Okay, then…if a Dem wasn’t effective enough in office to get a bill passed, instead loosing that battle to an opponent who isn’t even in office any more, then why does that Dem deserve another vote?
