Was Goff named in the lawsuit?
According to him, seems the correct answer is - no.
https://247sports.com/college/kansas/Ar ... 163741002/
"Specifically, Goff agreed in signing the contract that he had not been accused of "sexual harassment, sexual assault, or other forms of sexual misconduct or discrimination" in the last 15 years, and he also agreed that he had not "retaliated or been accused of retaliation against any student, coworker, supervisor, or other person for making a complaint" of sexual misconduct in that time".
"Goff also agreed that he has not "engaged in any form" of the aforementioned acts, as well as not entered into any settlements surrounding the same topic. Again, it would be hard not to draw a line from the language in Goff's contract to what was alleged to have taken place during Miles' tenure at LSU".
Interesting that someone can't simply ask.....
What if anything did Goff know and was there any hesitation to hire a guy coming from a program with sexual harassment issues - when we just fired a head coach for similar reasons?
.......Without being ridiculed for asking it.
But hey, people are right Gutter is gonna Gutter - and I should have expected the resident assholes (not you Leawood) are going to asshole in response.
The not so funny thing is that if Goff is 100% in the clear (and he probably is but can anyone really say "definitively" if he is or isn't?), I am thrilled with the hire.

Steering this thread back to a better direction....
If there was any doubt, Jason Bean confirmed he is still coming to Kansas and sounds like he'll be on campus in June. That's excellent news because after the spring game I think we all hope he can be the QB because that was rough.

I have read that we are going to have something like 7 QB's on the roster. And, none seem to be that guy that can single-handedly elevate us.

Maybe the one good thing about Bean confirming he's still coming to KU is that it seems to confirm Emmett Jones is sticking around. I know we have heard that rumored plenty over the past week but it's just another sign that he'll still be here.
Yeah the QB room is a mess. Two years ago I was really high on Locklin. Apparently he's been moved to WR now. Always thought he deserved a fair shot. There's not way he's worse than Kendrick. That can't be possible. My hope with Jason Bean is that he's good enough to just come in and play all year, given he stays healthy behind our O-line. One full season where Daniels and Easters don't have to play would be ideal.

Remember when Chiefs fans thought there was no way that Brady Quinn could be worse than Matt Cassel?
He was.

I know this is a totally different discussion, but Matt Cassel had a great season in KC with 27 TDs and 7 picks and won the AFC West the year Charlie Weis was his OC....

I think Daniels is the most talented guy. He is just slow reading defenses and makes more decisions. Bean most athletic guy. Easters the best passer.
I like Easters. Quite a bit actually.

I'm pretty high in Easters as well. I think with Leipold and his staff's ability to tailor their offense to the talent they have, he could benefit from the coaching change. If he can go out in practice and make them say, the that's the guy of the future, then that could be huge. But I think we could also benefit from giving freshman QBs a redshirt season.

It all depends on what Leipold wants. He wants a guy who is athletic, he'll go Bean. He wants a guy that has the tools, but not a quick enough decision maker, he'll choose Daniels. He wants a guy that is not as athletic but probably the best passer on the team, he'll pick Easters. Kendrick just cannot be the starting QB at any point this year. Period.

Agreed. We've seen way too much of Kendrick to know he ain't got it.

The only way it makes sense to play Kendrick is if he is the only guy on the team that can get you to a bowl game. And, come on, we know that is not who he is.

Did the staff do Daniels a disservice by throwing him to the lions last year? Hope it didn't fvck his head up...
I like Easters as well, but the reality is until they fix that O-line, any QB they throw out there is fvcked.

Early in the season, I was on the train of play Daniels every snap no matter what. But, after a handful of games and the injury, I just wasn't sure that it was the right message to the team to keep playing a guy that gave you 0 chance to win even winnable games.
I think he needs better line play and a more favorable system. Having that year under his belt makes me think he is absolutely a candidate to start every game this season. So, I think throwing him to the lions (wolves?) was still the best thing we could have done for him in a season that didn't count.

This is pretty accurate. Year didn't count, but experience did.

Haha, yeah, I meant wolves.
I agree, in fact, unless Bean (or someone else) is just really that much better than Daniels, I don't know how you don't go into the season expecting him to start every game...but then again, maybe Leipold and his staff sees things differently.

The thing that seems to make this staff different then recent staffs here is that they have a general scheme, but diverse in what they do in that scheme. They do a lot of one back in shotgun with a TE (or 2) and then 2 or 3 WRs. They could run you to death out of that formation, or they could throw it all over.

Well, when first down is a wide receiver screen for no gain, and second down is a wide receiver screen for -1 yards, and third down is a run up the middle to give our punter room. I'll remember you posted this.
We've had like 7 different offensive "schemes" since Mangino, but they've all become the play calling I posted above.

Well, something more accurate and more relevant:
KU gave up 5.2 sacks per game in 2020. It is the most by a Power 5 school since 1998.
It won't matter what we run if we can't improve that.
