I'll go out on a limb and guess your sleep was more restful than Gordon Sondland's last night.

Got to give Nunes props for calling this witness. Sounds kinda quid pro quoey, briberyesque even, if you will:

"Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect."

Well, well, well... It appears that Secretary Pompeo might be a subject of discussion today:

#lulz

ETTD.

Sondland has to decide whether to protect Trump, or tell the truth...

Damn, Sondland is coming clean, it would appear:

Damn! I hope someone thinks to ask Sondland if Pence was in on the plan.

I have been saying for the past 10 years that Rudy Giuliani is one of the biggest assholes on the planet. I sure hope he gets sent to the shit house in the not too distant future - never to be heard from again.
I would pay $100 to be able to stand at the prison where he will be locked up and wave at him with a shit eating grin on my face - and then flip him the bird.

This point is where we've always been headed. We know what happened. We've always known what happened. Now, can Trump make a plausible case that it was in the nation's interest and not his own?

Given the quality of the legal counsel he's employed so far, I'm guessing he can't.

so assuming the House impeaches, how do you expect the Senate to handle it?

It's hard to say. Trump has not shown even the slightest inclination so far to be willing to mount a defense of any sort. If he were looking to escape conviction and then win a second term, he would be doing everything completely the opposite of what he's done. If he were looking to become a martyr and die for the cause (whatever that is), he'd be doing exactly what he's doing.

Of course, it's Trump. So any attempts to predict anything are useless.

Or, "Law and Order Party" republicans could grow a spine, fulfill their oath of office, and render what the Liar In Chief does, irrelevant.

that's good insight into Trump.

how do you expect the Senate to handle it?

Will they make a good faith effort to be objective triers of fact? Or will they march in line with Trump and his direction, as unpredictable as it may be?

It wouldn't surprise me a bit to learn that the search history in Cruz's and Rubio's offices today include the term "primary filing deadlines."
