Well of course in Florida you're going to have people act like they should. It's places like DC (above video I posted) and California where people are being violent.
"Florida ranks eighth for most hate reports so far, according to Stop AAPI Hate."

Well sure, you're going to have some violence in places like Miami and big city environments in general. But if I were Asian (and my wife is), I would feel much safer in the suburbs in Florida than in the suburbs of Cali, NY, or Chicago. Being ranked 8th means there's 7 other democrat areas that are much more violent.

Three months after a mob of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol to try to overturn his November election loss, about half of Republicans believe the siege was largely a non-violent protest or was the handiwork of left-wing activists "trying to make Trump look bad," a new Reuters/Ipsos poll has found.
Six in 10 Republicans also believe the false claim put out by Trump that November's presidential election "was stolen" from him due to widespread voter fraud, and the same proportion of Republicans think he should run again in 2024, the March 30-31 poll showed...
The Reuters/Ipsos poll shows a large number of rank-and-file Republicans have embraced the myth. While 59% of all Americans say Trump bears some responsibility for the attack, only three in 10 Republicans agree. Eight in 10 Democrats and six in 10 independents reject the false claims that the Capitol siege was "mostly peaceful" or it was staged by left-wing protestors...

And OJ Simpson truly believes that he didn't kill his wife. If you say it enough and read it enough, you start to actually believe the lies and bullshit.

And it illustrates just how big the misinformation problem is in this country.
My dad insists it’s just some looney fringe, but I’m like no pops it’s the majority of the Republican Party.
Half the folks think the misinformation problem is the info that is inaccurate, and half the folks think the problem just the info that doesn’t fit their world view.

What an analysis of 377 Americans arrested or charged in the Capitol insurrection tells us
The Jan. 6 assault on the Capitol by a violent mob at the behest of former president Donald Trump was an act of political violence intended to alter the outcome of a legitimate democratic election. That much was always evident.
What we know 90 days later is that the insurrection was the result of a large, diffuse and new kind of protest movement congealing in the United States.
The Chicago Project on Security and Threats (CPOST), working with court records, has analyzed the demographics and home county characteristics of the 377 Americans, from 250 counties in 44 states, arrested or charged in the Capitol attack.
Those involved are, by and large, older and more professional than right-wing protesters we have surveyed in the past. They typically have no ties to existing right-wing groups. But like earlier protesters, they are 95 percent White and 85 percent male, and many live near and among Biden supporters in blue and purple counties.
The charges have, so far, been generally in proportion to state and county populations as a whole. Only Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri and Montana appear to have sent more protesters to D.C. suspected of crimes than their populations would suggest.
Nor were these insurrectionists typically from deep-red counties. Some 52 percent are from blue counties that Biden comfortably won. But by far the most interesting characteristic common to the insurrectionists’ backgrounds has to do with changes in their local demographics: Counties with the most significant declines in the non-Hispanic White population are the most likely to produce insurrectionists who now face charges...

Capitol riot defendant flips to help prosecutors against Proud Boys
At least one of the Capitol riot defendants has flipped against the Proud Boys, agreeing to provide information that could allow the Justice Department to bring a more severe charge against the group's leadership, according to an attorney involved in the case.
The development is the first indication that people charged in the insurrection are cooperating against the pro-Trump extremist group. Federal prosecutors have made clear they are focused on building conspiracy cases against leadership of the Proud Boys and paramilitary groups like the Oath Keepers...

White supremacists, extremists may use Chauvin trial to further their agendas: DHS
As Derek Chauvin's murder trial continues in Minneapolis, the intelligence branch of the Department of Homeland Security is warning that foreign adversaries and domestic extremists may use the case to further their own agendas.
In an intelligence briefing obtained by ABC News, DHS analysts warn that domestic extremists -- including anarchists and white supremacists -- "may attempt to exploit activities and events surrounding the legal proceeding" and "violence could occur with little or no warning..."

^^^ just saw this that I posted on the other thread.
Also, an Oath Keepers member is first to plead guilty in capitol riot investigation.
Part of his plea deal is to cooperate with investigators and provide testimony and witness interviews
