Being KU, I expect better out of us.
We should be flattered, because we know it's based on jealousy.
There is some of that, but the hard truth is that they hate the progressive nature of Lawrence and are inclined to torches and pitchforks at a certain point beyond Topeka.
Kansas had a great legacy as a free state and reasonable inhabitants willing to give of themselves for others. I greatly dislike what they have done to a state my ancestors helped found as free soil. The hate tropes that dominate their daily lives are streamed our way in a predicable fashion because it is a day ending in a "y".
Actually, a great deal of Kansans wanted a free state that exclude blacks. Very few of them were from Lawrence.
And using Topeka as a dividing line is weird. With Westboro Baptist being there and all.
I live in Lawrence, and I think it’s over the top progressive a lot of the time. I’d take that over the opposite every time.

lol. i used to play pickup with a guy who he reminds me of. i always hated when that guy was on my team, meant i was playing all the D and never seeing the ball on O. dude would dribble dribble dribble until everyone was asleep and then whip a no-look over-the-shoulder pass and look at me like 'hey man, why weren't you ready for that'? several of the older/out of shape guys thought he was fantastic, but me and a couple shrewd others knew he sucked so bad.

Two points missed on that dunk leading to free throws gave me ptsd to the 10 second call

It’s fun to watch a game that isn’t overwhelmingly defined by whistles

and follows that up with a drive through traffic and terrible shot over a 7-footer. and these announcers saying his terrible passes were the receivers' fault. not everything this dude touches is gold.

Yea, I guess I spoke too soon. I turned it on mid 2nd half and there was a good stretch of just good hard basketball, without whistles every possession, and without knowing the foul count.
Nowell is good tho. It’s fun to watch a guard who can shoot, get to the rim, draw fouls

Terrific game, regardless of outcome. Glad the refs stopped with quick whistles

“A lot of things can go right for FAU right now, but they can also go wrong too.”
Do announcers ever realize how dumb they sound?
