Any word on when T.J. Holyfield is supposed to announce his decision? Visited KU on Monday.

I agree we need shooters.

The Rayjon guy seems like a good candidate, although it sounds like he'd like to stay in the draft if possible, and he may be scared off if Dotson returns and he's looking at having to come off the bench behind dotson/ochai/Garrett, if grimes comes back then I don't see why he'd come here when he can go somewhere else and play a larger role.....

I bet he makes 15-20 3pt shots next year on 40-50 attempts. Assuming he plays 25mpg.
Like I said before, just because you're better than someone else at doing a certain thing doesn't mean you should be doing that thing. Plus, you can use stats to backup your claim, but does it really do that? 50% > 40%, no one will argue that. But, is 2/4 better than 40/100? That's where your logic is flawed.

Mitch may very well be the 4th best 3 point shooter, but that does not automatically throw him in the group of "floor spacers".

Why? Lightfoot is still on the roster!

Is this a good year to pull the shirt off of brady?

Sleeves could shoot from the perimeter, that's for sure.

But not from the FT line.

My question is, assuming he didn't lift his feet, if he hit that, would it have counted?
Because people flip up the ball in all sorts of ways before shooting a free throw and I'm pretty sure Mornginstar wasn't faking the free throw especially since there weren't any rebounders.

Mitch is our 4th best returning 3 point shooter only because there are only 4 rotation players returning who attempted a three point shot last year. He was the 9th best three point shooter out of 9 rotation players who took a three pointer on a bad shooting team last year and moves up to your ranking of 4th only because 5 players above him left. Again, that's simply poor application of stats to make a dumb point.

My hope is that we add 5 more players to the rotation who all shoot better than Mitch. If he is the 4th best shooter next year then KU is doomed.

I’m not the biggest lightfoot fan, but I appreciate what he brings.

I would be cool with him taking more 3s. He certainly gets the opportunities, and even hit one every now and then. But there were lots of times he would get the ball wide open at the top of the key and pass it up. If he had the mindset to shoot, maybe it could put pressure on the d and open things up.

At the very least, he should perfect Kevin Young’s jump shot pass to the post.

4 year players are my favorite. The Lightfeet is a four year player.

If he's NBA good, he wouldn't be coming off the bench.

Diallo says hello....but I get what you're saying.

I don't think he expects to be drafted, but G league/Summer league opportunities may be enough to make him stay and start earning some money.

He shot worse than Garrett last year. Raise your hand if you thought "shoot it!" when Garrett had the ball wide open at the top of the key.

Me neither.

I hope Mitch improves his shooting to the point where he could knock down better than 30% of the few he takes but I am hoping that shot is the fifth best shot we could get on any possession. What I like about Mitch is that he is smart enough to realize that and ego-free enough to be OK with it and pursue a better shot.

Speaking of recruiting...KU just finalized its renewal with three stripes. 14 years worth 14 million annually.

*ugh*

For all the talk of Self leaving, this would, to me, be the most likely reason.

They better figure out a way to compete for recruits with Nike schools again, because if we can't recruit, what are we doing?

We will never agree on the *ugh* part (I'm a huge non-fan of Nike fan appareal).

But, we can agree on this: C.R.E.A.M.

Agreed on the CREAM part. This is Top Five overall apparel deal money. Not to mention that adidas is also is throwing in $500k for a student leadership program.

Maybe by making this official this will free up the bag men to do their work again.

Top 1 in overall apparel deal money.

UCLA had the biggest before at just under $13M annually.
